  1. Is it? Maybe there isn't enough pressure with performances like this. Granted, these are going to happen once in a while, but shouldn't at home, just plain embarrassing.
  2. Some serious soul searching needs to be done in that f****** locker room. There's a few players out there who will have to start playing the football they are capable of.
  3. Well, that was the worst half of football I've seen this season from any team.
  4. Yeah, but this thread is asking an entirely different question to the one you just answered. How do you know he didn't buy it from his uncle? "How much for the ticket?" "£250, you rat"
  5. True, but I imagine most of our back line has experienced an Derby at some point in their career. Also, the atmosphere will be quite canny and will hopefully make them raise their game.
  6. I just watched the replay of the Reading game on Setanta and we just looked bored. I didn't see any urgency in our attacking or movement on the ball/off the ball. Granted, it was probably because we didn't have proper wingers out there, but going into Scumderland might just kickstart our away form blues. We'll have to go in there looking to batter the cunts, then we'll hopefully carry that attitude into other away matches.
  7. Not bollocks. I was told Jol met Shepherd, apparently agreed the basis of a deal and on the strength of that, FFS asked for formal permission to speak to MJ. Levy had already got wind of the meeting and refused permission and gave Jol an improved contract to keep him happy. FFS then moved on with Allardyce. The only difference between FFS/MJ and Spurs board/JR was that Spurs were stupid enough to hold the meeting in a swish hotel regularly checked out by the paperazzi. This makes no sense. Why the f*** would Jol leave Spurs for us? (at the time) I don't believe for a second Jol's job was in jeopardy at the time we appointed Allardyce. At that time MJ's job was not in jeopardy. As he was relatively lowly paid, presumably FFS was happy to pay more wages (MJ I believe was on a little over £1m pa). Permission to speak to Newcastle was refused and MJ got a payrise taking him up to £2m pa. Ironically, it was that pay hike which prompted 2 board members to question were we getting value for money, was £2m pa a bit rich for someone who, tactically, wasn't one of the Premiership's elite. Alright, that makes more sense. Cheers. I still think Freddy wanted Allardyce more, though. You may well be right. At least one person I know reckons that Levy was tipped off about the approach by someone close to Jol with a view to securing a payrise and a bit more power. Where do you find the time to collect all this info? What do you think of Levy? Just what I've seen off the telly I can't stand the prick.

I dunno, now I'm confused. My view is that Freddy wanted Allardyce all along. He was out of a job, Jol was not. Where all this other shit comes into play is what is doing my head in.

  11. I finally buckle, order Setanta, only to be served up a pile of this shit. I know it might have been the amount of Alcohol I consumed last night, but this performance is doing my head in. We should be tearing these cunts apart.
  12. There's two of you? Which Jamie am I talking to now?
  13. Aye, he really hates you lot. Worse than us!
  14. I think most of you in this thread are underestimating the popularity of Football and Premiership Football in North America. Last time Liverpool and Celtic played here in Toronto for a friendly, there were 50,000+ at each game. Someone brought up the Charity Shield match being played over here? That's a brilliant idea.
  15. Levy is so full of shit. What a seedy little fucking wankstain he is. I'd love to wet my hand and smack his bald scalp as hard as possible. "What did the five fingers say to the scalp?" http://www.justtotheleft.com/images/five_fingers.JPG
  16. See above. Yeah, I was typing when you were posting. I said the same, earlier in the thread.
  17. I don't believe for a second he resigned, they wanted him out and came to an agreement. The Spurs board are no better than Freddie ever was. Both, in regards of respecting managers, are wank.

Berbatov isn't capable of getting 15+ goals though. Why isn't he? Certainly looked capable last season. If he were as selfish as say... RVN, he'd reach the mark quite easily. He isnt though and thats why he didn't and won't. Well, with a new manager coming in, he just might do that. Berbatov is quality, you're just arguing for the sake of arguing. Im glad someone else noticed that. The word CAPABLE escapes some people, I suppose. Its just my opinion that he isn't capable of getting so many goals. Apart from the likes of Lampard, there aren't a lot of non out-and-out goalscorers who get over 15 goals, especially outside the top 4. Its actually surprising when you look at the statistics. Time will tell I suppose, if Spurs are to get top half, he'll probably have to get in the region of another 14-16 goals in the remainder of the season mind, as will Bent / Keane. You are a persistent, bugger, I'll give you that. I'd also say I'd love him to be signing for us, will that do? Add 5 goals to his tally?

I'm not mate, he's undoubtedly a quality player, I'm just not sure he's as good a goalscorer as he's being made out to be, certainly not in the Premiership. He's a bit like Bergkamp in that respect, who only got 16 once, and his previous highest was 12. If used properly, I have no doubt in my mind that he could break the 20 goal mark. You're missing the point though, he's as good as people are making out because not only does he score goals, he creates them as well. That is what makes him better than most in the league, mate.
