Except bolster our chances of a reaching UEFA Cup spot. Quality players help do that, actually.

Bramble has done fuck all at this club. He is incompetent and always has been. And always will be. He won't develop into a good player - it isn't going to happen, and i've grown increasingly bored of the last three managers, for the past four years, promising us that he's the next big thing. He's not. He's shit and we need to get rid of him ASAP. Pressley's available for free, he's adequate for squad numbers. And we were going to buy a centre-back anyway. Just get rid. He doesn't deserve a place at the club. 5 or 6 good games a season does nowt for me tbh.
-
No harm in a loan deal at all. Option to buy would be handy aswell, we might need another right-mid come the summer, seeing as there'll be only Milner, really. In all fairness, Nobby is now and always will be an average squad play in terms of right-mid. He hasn't got the legs for it. Right-back on the other hand... And it won't be the end of Milner for the season. Wright-Phillips wouldn't play every game, and Milner can play upfront or on the left aswell if required. And it won't harbour his improvement, it'll probably develop it. He's earned right-midfield hands down with no real competition. He'll have that if SWP comes. for me.

Bit their hand off. It's like with Boumsong. We'll lose a player but the squad will improve.
-
I'd take Beattie for £2m. Just needs a fresh start imo... i wouldn't be surprised if that turned out to be a bargain. Any more than £3m though and i'd rather we stayed clear. It's still quite a big gamble.

Hmm, it is 'Dembele'. Danny Koevermans is on there but has no statistics, oddly enough.
-
If it's a typo from 'The Dutchman', then yeah. Garra Delembe.

Don't be so f***ing ridiculous man!! Pretty much my sentiments. Like we really ever had a chance of signing the top scorer at the World Cup. Us.
-
Con - It's the shittest suggestion i've ever heard. How many have you had tonight, Nick?

Lupoli would cost nowt. I like Derby, and i think my above assessment was relatively fair... but go to Morph if you want a better analysis.
-
That Lupoli kid is behind all them as well, meant to be quality. Anyone know how he's doing at Derby? Theres Carlos Vela as well when he comes back from loan. They've just got an unlimited supply of class youngsters! Yorkie told me he was doing very well at Derby Aye, Lupoli's been a key figure for Derby this season. Isn't there top scorer, that's Steve Howard i think (cracking buy from Luton), but has certainly pitched in with a few. Arsenal aren't renewing his contract i don't think, and both Liverpool and Valencia have supposedly shown interest. Lupoli said yesterday though that if Derby get into the Premiership, he could stay with the, but realistically they'll have done very well to hold onto him. Decent player, though.

Ideally, Ramage. But there'd be no one to partner Taylor at centre-back, then. Keep Huntington there. Pointless hoping on Baba, when he's clearly shit and won't get any better. Hunty however, has looked confident and controlled, shown a lot of promise and will get better.

It was me who spoke of the superiority of squads from Newcastle to Villa... i've said that before and i'll probably say it again, aswell as many other teams in the Premiership. And being brutally honest, there are very few players in our squad who i will slag off on a consistent basis*, because in my eyes those few are poor on a consistent basis. I have, however, regularly slagged off the manager for particular things. Because, like those certain players, in my eyes - he regularly does daft things. *Carr, Babayaro and Bramble being the ones that spring to mind. And that's about it really.
-
For £6m they can forget it.
-
Shame. For us and for Crouch.
-
You serious? He's a right-winger isn't he? Last thing we need.
-
K. There was this guy called Deep and he was a bit of a knob.
-
Yeah, i know what you mean mate, i selected my team with Dyer in there instead of Sibi, but i couldn't really make up my mind. Sibierski does bring the best out of Martins, i agree, but i think Dyer works better with the team on the whole. Dyer's certainly a key player for us, and i think it should be all about fitting him somewhere into the team. He doesn't work on the right, and we can't budge Emre and Butt (imo), so he's got to go there. Like i said in my previous post, Sibi will be a good impact player. Come the 65-70th minute or so that is, not the 86th.

The Sir Bob of 1999-2004, aye. Not an insult to him - he's still a legend - but he's too old to be managing a Premiership club now. If we had Martin O'Neill, we'd certainly be well up there. The Aston Villa bumfest is subsiding, but look at the shite array of players that they've got. They finished 16th last season and rightly so. O'Neill's overachieving with them even if they're 8th. If O'Neill had our squad, we'd be flying high. Not bitter or anything. ;-)

Toon Taylor... who's this Billy Jones? Nugent. Been raving about him for a while. He hasn't got too many goals this season but he's still a key player for Preston, possibly their best. He can drive at defenders, using his pace and strength, and he's got fantastic technique infront of goal. I've seen little of him this season, mostly last season, but i really like him. I know very little about Eastwood - but he ain't really done enough to save Southend this season. Scored a bundle of goals in League 1, but Lee Trundle does (did) that season in-season out.

We have Top 6 standard players, absolutley no doubt about it. We have some first class individuals at the club and it's a nonsense that we are down where we are. We don't have a Top 6 (barely a Top 10) manager.
-
Agree with your sentiments, and i know that i'm guilty of taking swipes at the team/manager/etc but i'm usually 50-50. I've got plenty of good things to say aswell. I thought the critisism of Parker was unfair, he went out there and played his game and i don't think he did too badly. He was frustrating, no doubt about it - like i said in my article, but he gave his all like you say. Parker doesn't pick the team. The manager, however, does. And last night's performance from Glenn was still pretty dreadful from my point of view. I wasn't too distressed by the starting line-up, because the logic worked - however we lacked a cuting edge having lost a striker and come the second half we were crying out for things to be changed. As soon as we didn't change anything, and Chelsea did, we were always going to lose the match. I wholeheartedly disagree with the people who said "it was pointless brinhing on subs", that's pathetic really - you should have faith in the players, especially those like Sibi - who've been excellent this season. I'm OK with Parker, i don't have anything against the man - he just doesn't work in the team. But i don't like Roeder, i think he's a poor manager. But yeah, Bellers, agree with your sentiments a lot.

Well fancy that.
