Well he missed the game at the weekend, aye. It's still less than a week since he played an incredibly intense match in the Champions League. Don't see any harm in letting Krafthu keep the spot warm before the Luton game.
-
Most of them already are though. We're talking about not playing players who already have knocks/are exhausted.
-
Luton are no mugs at Kenilworth Road by any means; they've pushed Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City all the way in consecutive home matches and are pretty unlucky to have come out of that with only one point. It's obviously a winnable game but so was Bournemouth, Wolves etc. The important caveat to assign to the pro-rotation argument is that we're blessed with an incredibly well-drilled system that players can fit into seamlessly. 'Rest Miggy' doesn't equate to 'throw the game', as would've been the case in years gone by. With Howe in the dugout I'd fancy us to get a result regardless of who we named.

When this happens in the FA Cup, I think I'm right in thinking that saying "ffs we would've got X" doesn't actually make sense (cos of ball numbers)... but in this case I assume we would've actually got Sociedad? If so, ffs. -
If there's any scope to rotate then we absolutely should. Of course it's an opportunity to lift a trophy but the weight of opportunity isn't determined exclusively by the very simple issue of number of games left to play. When you factor in the state of the squad, the fixture list ahead of us and the difficulty of the game itself, I wouldn't say the odds were so much in our favour that it would be absurd to de-prioritise it. The team is out on its feet already and we can't afford to lose any more key players. We have to remedy our away form if we've any hope of maintaining our position in the top 6 because there will come a point where SJP isn't a guaranteed three points. Luton (a) is a big chance to get the ball rolling where that's concerned, so we could do without having to recruit blokes from the stands to occupy one of the wings. Dubravka Krafth Lascelles Dummett Hall/Burn Bruno Longstaff Miley Tino Gordon Ritchie Rests for Trippier, Miggy and Wilson.

Because here he'd have a cat in hell's chance of getting a game? Not that I believe he 'can't be arsed'. It's not pub footy.

Absolutely world class handbags in the Brentford Villa game. Martinez is a top drawer shithouse, awful prick.

I think it's becoming more and more critical that your club has proper talent in the dugout these days because the competition is so fierce. We are very much in a post-PFM world now; even those from the noughties who had something special about them - eg Rafa, Mourinho - aren't cut out for the league now, let alone the dinosaurs. It was absolutely laughable that Steve Bruce was still in a job only a couple of years ago; and the less said about that absolutely desperate turn by Leeds last season the better. Truly embarrassing. It's another reason why I've got so much respect for the likes of Moyes and Roy; the latter of whom, especially, I think must just be a bit of a fucking genius - for him still to be getting a tune out of a squad 50+ years his junior, when all of his peers have become totally outdated... it's some achievement, like. One of my favourite people in football.

We also botted them to kingdom come this season. Howe wins.

Barely recognised you without the shinpads-no-socks combo.

Just about a red card for Danny Murphy. Only launched his entire bodyweight directly into Longstaff's face for absolutely no reason. Just about a red.
-
@samptime29 anyone told you you were front and centre of the global broadcast at 16 minutes?
-
That red card was a very, very timely bit of respite for these lads, like. Finally a bit of good fortune after all the injuries and fine margins seemingly going the other way. It's a huge win. Thank Christ for SJP.

Livramento, Burn and Gordon come off.
-
Botman, Hall and Ritchie coming on. Three for the season now for the big lad. Love him so much.
-
Only listening but sounds like Krafthy's enjoying himself; great to see after such an horrendous injury.

Triple sub from Fulham.
-
Yeah. I like Anderson and think he'll improve if he can stay fit, but Miley's already better. Would be nice to see em in the same team at one point.
