As much as I love Tripps, I'd have sooner seen him and DCL used for PSR chicanery than Anderson and Vlachodimos. I assume that's what that link was all about.
-
I would too. Tino needs a kick up the arse and it's no good having players grasp opportunities and then not be rewarded.
-
Bollocks, really? Thought he'd got a season-ender for some reason. He's absolutely massive for them. Would go as far as saying his availability determines whether or not they're in the title race.

For some reason I thought we were number 3 and felt the crushing blow of us having a very annoying away tie (Spurs I think it was). Jizzed mesen when we were the next ball out. It's certainly no gimme but it's just a fantastic opportunity. We had Leicester at home at this stage in the 2022/23 run and that's still one of my favourite games post-takeover. Burn's first goal was such a great moment (followed by the dance). (fucking hate that commentator)

Exactly. It's worth a thought before launching into our guys for ultimately choosing to do nothing in late August. It doesn't absolve us totally - clearly our scouting and negotiating hasn't been up to scratch - but it really hammers home the impact of PSR and how the risk changes from team to team.

And without a repercussion to speak of. Meanwhile if we spend ~£30-40m (i.e. a competitive price in today's market) on the wrong player, it can have serious side-effects. I feel like that context doesn't get as much consideration as it should when critiquing our (admittedly imperfect) transfer business.

Come on, still don't feel like we've had the decent draws we're due. There's plenty of possible ties there that I wouldn't hate; can we just have one of them, please? Anything but Anfield if I'm not allowed to ask for much.

He doesn't look far off being ready to feature in more meaningful cameos in the Premier League. Looks to me like it's only fitness which may have kept him mostly withdrawn up until now; looks pretty gassed after every time he does anything. That chance was one of the moments of the game. Sharp play from both him and Krafth.
-
Impressed by him every time I see him. You can picture him starting to impact games more and more because technically he's very good. Only just 20 so the potential is enormous.
-
I felt like there was no need for us to be quite so sloppy in possession but no arguments with that low block. The only meaningful chance they had in that second half, that I can recall, was immediately after those subs. We tested them at breaking us down and they couldn't; no issues with that. We got the control at a crucial time in the game and their heads dropped. Managed the whole thing well in the end I thought.

They were quite generous certainly but credit our press, too.

Best RB performance of the season so far I think. Him and Joe doubling up really shut Chelsea down cos Mudryk was the main problem. Bruno on to control it and that was it, job done. Tactically spot on from the manager.
-
What a cracking little win that is. Frustrating spell in the third quarter but ultimately fully deserved and lots of good performances. Squad suddenly looking quite competitive in a few areas. Howay, good draw, please.
-
Bruno absolutely purring tonight.
-
What a cracking bit of play from Krafthy
-
Bruno's been fantastic tbf. Definitely seem to have grasped control in the last five. Howay.
-
Meanwhile Chelsea get ever closer. Ergh come on, lads, please get in some control.
-
Bah, goal ruled out.
-
Love Big Joe, man. LW or RWB, absolutely no bother, boss.
-
Farcical how poor we are at keeping the ball this season.
-
Such a shite pass from Bruno
-
Catch, Popey.
-
Mudryk always looks annoyingly capable against us.

Howay Osula.
