  1. here it is for those that haven`t seen.....mongs Edit: just realised it was posted earlier in the thread http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=v3bqyVQoN0k
  2. he wouldn`t even leave his current job as Thailand national team boss to come to us man anyways, not keen on Moyes ........would like Pellegrini or Hiddink but maybe more realistic is Michael Laudrup........but no idea tbh
  3. or a Chilean in Manuel Pellegrini who has worked miracles at Villareal......failing that Hiddink..........but realistically.......
  4. soz if this was posted already before ----- nufc.com Update: Claim & counter-claim It was reported by various news sources on Thursday that Mike Ashley was flying back into the UK after a business trip to the USA in order to meet with Kevin Keegan. However a bleaker claim is also doing the rounds that there's no chance of any amicable resolution to the situation - and that the final agreement of a financial settlement for KK will be followed by a formal statement of the "mutual consent" variety in the next 24 hours.
  5. agreed......a wasted talent IMO.....I think he would have been ideal for Serie A with the slower paced game over there and the fact that more teams play formations that incorporates a continental number 10/`fantasista` as the Italians call it type like Viana. Maybe if he moved to Juve instead of us at the time things might have worked out differently for the lad. btw....apparently Valencia are willing to let him go if someone takes over his wages
  6. well if there`s ever a time where youngsters might get their chance it`s this season with our paper thin squad......especially in defence when we inevitably get a few injuries on top of Colo being called away for the Argie world cup qualifiers......
  7. Like the people at Valencia who classed him as one too many for this years squad. To be fair Valencia aren't exactly short of quality players in that area so I wouldn't read too much into that. Lets hope he falls into the quality category rather than what seems to me to be a quantity reason he has been moved on. Don't forget he cost them upwards of £7m. source? http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=844156 and others. cheers mate. The bloke can`t be that bad if they shelled out that amount for him btw, on the link you posted there`s a further video link at the bottom right of the screen with him scoring 4 goals in a match...I think it was against lower league opposition judging by the scoreline
  8. Should have been in for him, then. turned down all moves, apparently Real even ........when they were panicking about a replacement for Robinho.
  9. Keegan recommended Mears Marseille secured the signing of Tyrone Mears from Derby County on the transfer deadline day, and chairman Pape Diouf has revealed that Kevin Keegan recommended the player to L’OM. It has been confirmed that the 25-year-old will be second choice right back at the Stade Velodrome this season behind Laurent Bonnart. Mears is the first Englishman to join L’OM in 12 years and Diouf has explained the secret behind this shocking move. “We were in the quest for a cover for Laurent Bonnart who could settle to French football,” Diouf said. “As a consequence, we used our connexions who recommended Tyrone to us. “I even contacted several persons I know in England, including Kevin Keegan, who described him as a top quality player.” http://sport.setanta.com/en/Sport/News/Football/2008/09/02/Championship-Diouf-on-Keegan-Mears-recommandation/

Anyways, quietly confident he might impress here..........the new Enzo Francescoli (I hope! )
  11. press conference pic for Malaga for all you Luque lovers http://img361.imageshack.us/img361/8603/8005rb8.jpg
  12. a bit more about him.......he`s right footed but NOT a winger according to some Uruguayan fans I spoke to on another forum. However for his old club Danubio he played attacking central midfield and sometimes on the left (but not an up and down the flanks winger)........I guess he`s a `Pires type` in that respect
  13. I thought Gatesey (who left a while back)was good craic despite him being a former player of the unwashed.....Supermac and Bernie are just idiots
  14. Souness doesn't even get a mention these days. IIRC souness was 20/1 to replace the `sacked` Keegan
  15. amazing george graham still gets on these lists, i know he hasn't retired from managing but the guy hasn't got near a job in almost a decade S.Billic 7/4 S.Pearce 6/1 R.Mancini 7/1 T.Brooking 8/1 H.Redknapp 10/1 P.Di Canio 10/1 M.Allen 14/1 M.Jol 16/1 D.Deschamps 20/1 G.Hoddle 20/1 K.Keegan 20/1 M.Lippi 20/1 S.Allardyce 20/1 S.McClaren 20/1 A.Pardew 25/1 S.Coppell 25/1 A.Shearer 33/1 D.O'Leary 33/1 D.Wise 33/1 G.Graham 33/1 G.Houllier 33/1 I.Dowie 33/1 T.Venables 33/1 M.Newell 50/1 P.Ince 100/1 T.Cottee 100/1

  17. what were the draws and losses? 14 draws, 29 defeats
  18. apparently even the Arsenal fans are saying AW doesn`t want to wheel and deal to balance the books and he might walk if he`s not given money after next season(even though he said the "money is available"). Their fans seemed pretty pissed off also that they didn`t sign a central midfielder this summer , ending up with a Man U reject in Silvestre for 700k........
  19. Premier League - Pele: Robinho needs counselling Eurosport - Wed, 03 Sep 13:01:00 2008 Brazil legend Pele claims Manchester City's record signing Robinho "needs serious counselling". The forward's move from Real Madrid to Eastlands has produced a storm of criticism in his native Brazil, prompting Pele to say Chelsea were "lucky" that City gazumped them in a £32.5 million deal on Monday. "Chelsea are lucky. This boy needs some serious counselling. In my view he has been badly advised," said Pele. The three-time World Cup-winner played the majority of his club career at Santos, where Robinho started out, and reflected concerns that the move was motivated purely by money. Santos president Marcelo Teixeira stormed: "This is one of the most disgraceful episodes in Brazilian football. He is a player who is an idol to children, an example. But he has not acted like one." The club's general manager, Jose Fernandes, added: "We are ashamed at having produced such a player."

  22. Keegan still wants to manage Newcastle United Sep 3 2008 by Alan Oliver, Evening Chronicle KEVIN KEEGAN still wants to manage Newcastle United That is the word from the Keegan camp today. A source close to the United boss told me: “Kevin still wants the job. Make no mistake about that. But he would like to be able to buy his own players. “If he was allowed to bring in his own players and he failed he would be the first to hold his hands up. “He has always bought flair players and players who can get people off their seats. “You just have to look at what he did at Manchester City. “The reason they are in the Premier League now is because Kevin brought in both Sylvain Distin and Nicolas Anelka. These were two masterstrokes.” The latest United crisis is attracting attention from throughout the whole of the football world. And nowhere more so than in India where billionaire Anil Ambani and his Reliance group are still more than interested in buying Mike Ashley out. My information is that Reliance are still ready to put a £275m offer on the table for Newcastle United. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2008/09/03/keegan-still-wants-to-manage-newcastle-united-72703-21665441/
