Fair appraisal. Absolute mental money mind.

Suárez will save it. Classic post.

Keep it at 0-0 but he'll get a goal if he wins at Blackpool and I'll get one if they lose.

Think Arteta has been the key to your good spells.

He's lucky to be in the Everton job ffs. We're underperforming massively. This is the type of opinion were often accused of having, one day your going to get JFK as manager then you will beg Moyes to come back. tight table man, interested to know where everton fans think they should be this season? presumably above us and the mackems, right up with spurs... have they backed moyes enough to achieve that year in year out, there's not much standing still goes on in top flight football, if you're not developing the squad and moving forwards, more often than not you're going backwards There's no doubt our total lack of finances plays a big part, yes, and it would be foolish to not recognise that. However the point is, this squad Moyes has, "the best I've had at Everton" to quote the man himself, is not performing anywhere near where they should be - which I consider to be in and around the top 6. That said, you're quite right, the tightness of the table means our season isn't over yet but it's been a clear underperformance to which most of the staff - players and management - need to take responsibility for. Arteta's been out for ages non?

Truth be told I'm having trouble conjuring up the derision I had for Benny and Hodgson. Waiting for the first spark.

A gentelman does not rush his strokes.

No goals for me or the incumbent.

I think he has more league goals as well now. Nolan > Bent. Gyan must be one of the most catastrophic wastes of money in recent PL history.

Massively harsh that. How? I don't think it was a massive mistake, I think he did well to save a good shot coming through bodies, and was really unlucky where it bounced. If it was a mistake it was by definition a massive one because it cost us the 3 points, that's not harsh that's fact. The only argument is whether or not it was a mistake, I think it is, you don't. The reasons I think it is are: - Yeah, it may have come through a few bodies, but he still saw it in plenty of time, as demonstrated by how slowly he went down for it, it's not like he flung himself, he just kinda toppled. - You'd normally expect him to hold on to a shot like that and if not you'd expect him not to push it out into the middle of the goal when there's loads of players following it in. Pushing it out was a deliberate act on his part and that was the mistake, it didn't hit him and rebound out, he deliberately pushed it out and did so into the worst possible place, a definite mistake. If he'd have tried to hold onto it and it had got away from him fair enough, but to deliberately push it out into the middle of the goal when he was surrounded by players was an error and one that cost us dearly, I don't know what he thought it would achieve, other than what happened. If you think that was a mistake then it must have been a massive one, if you don't think it was a mistake then what was it? How he played in the rest of the match is irrelevant to whether or not he made a massive mistake right at the end. I think he did. Harper is a clown and Krul isn't quite ready.

I don't think so. Dalglish has no record of turning round difficult situations, and has previously shown himself vulnerable to stress. Hardly the perfect candidate for Liverpool at this time. He's an old jedi coming out or retirement. Very dangerous.

This is gonna be my toughest test.

Fair performance today. No score for me or King Kenny.

Nonsense. It quickly became clear that the players were running on empty and looked jaded (we have a small squad that have just played 4 games in 10 days of somesuch). How many games have Stevenage played in the last 10 days? There were some other mistakes, but for me this is the key.
-
It's the same for all premiership clubs though. Most of the other big clubs have had more rotation than us.
-
Players were clearly drained 4 games in 11 days. Silly to put Tiote on they way things were going.

It's a short term fix with long term consequences. There will of course be a honeymoon period, but this kind of move can also hamper the club, esoecially if he does relatively well. Basically what they need is a top line manager and to freshen the squad. That will take one or two seasons at the minimum. I don't think they can compete financially with the elite of the PL anymore, so the first target would be to get back into the CL and start to pull in money which they have missed. My personal opinion is that they are now only fighting for 5th to 7th with what they have. The longer they stay out of the CL the harder it will be, infact if they don't get back into is within 2 season they are fucked for a good while yet. Nesv perhaps have underestimated the amount of cash it takes to be competitive in the PL.
