Forgot about that. 18 clubs is actually the best way to go.

That's basically it. No confidence on the ball or the ability to create (all done by foreign players at the clubs). Its bought in because this country has stopped producing or never really has produced players wil really good close control and the ability to make a pass under pressure, beat a man, whip a ball in. What the f*** are we teaching the kids at football. We should still kill howard wilkinson The kids are coached at their clubs and I doubt many clubs work to Charlie Hughes coaching manual. In fact I doubt the FA have much influence over the coaching of potential pro footballers at all. The problem and the solution lies with the clubs. Until they start playing creative and inventive football the youngsters coming through the ranks will never be much more than athletes in football boots. Unfortunately the price of failure in the PL is now so high that playing anything other than negative percentage football is a huge risk. You could argue, the fault lies earlier, if we produced our own "Mikel Arteta" we wouldn't need to go buy one would we? For starters we shouldn't be playing through winter. 2 week break from x mas to new year would IMO make a massive differance to tiredness and injuries that accumulate. Surely it would just result in having to cram even more games in the last three months of the season. If we want fresher players the only effective option is reducing the number of games. Carling Cup should just be for teams outside the PL. But the cash-strapped League will object as it will mean reduced revenue. Fuck them.

It's gonna go wrong. All the ingredients are there, promising manger at the peak of his abilities runs smack up against the madness at Anfield.

I would keep him on till the next world cup, now he has all his management team and stuff in place and all his research of the Eng game and players, IMO it would be a massive advantage to have him as part of the rebuilding. Made a couple of gaffs this WC, but what manager hasn't?

Good that you put HOnda in. Isn't he more of a striker though? He's just playing up front because their strikers are shit, I think. He's an attacking midfielder really. Fair enough. I was really impressed by him and Japan in general.

Forgot about Merieles, he's played really well so far.
-
That's a nice 433 but would get overrun in MF.
-
So far he does, been at the center of a lot of Chile's wonderful play.
-
Bit Brazil ain't it?
-
Hasn't Robben played just 1 game?....take him out and put Ozil in. Also swith Laum to lb and put Maicon rb. Also take Vidic out and put Ryan Nelson in. Not to sure Sanchez merits a place there either. But I hate Maicon. Can't put Muller in and leave Messi out...
-
Err... the idea is you lot put yer own teams up.
-
You're right actually. I get them mixed up. Done.
-
So far for me it is: ...............Neur................ Lahm....Vidic...Pique...Cole ..............Alonso............. A.Sanchez...Xavi....Robben ................Messi.................... ...............Higuain.............

Sentiments shared.

Got it down as a Chile win aet on pens.

It was much worsre yesterday, now it's a kind of wierd sympathy like the English are afflicted or sommink.
-
YOu're completely wrong. The biggest problem we have is that English players coming up through the ranks don't get enough pitch time. There are 364 foreign players in the PL alone and if you inc the CCC its over 500!!!

Dunno if it's from the same show as last night, but he made a great point about continental football being played on the floor. In England, everyone tries to pick 50-60 yard passes. On the continent, you get bollocked and encouraged to make short passes. Yeah, like i said we aint producing players with ball skills. We produce the odd world class player (gazza) once in a blue moon. We also have a default setting it english football which is hoof it. Nobs like Allerdyce get praised by the media, its fucking stupid, he is anti football, his teams cannot go out and make passes to feet and play a game of movement. Just lucky with Gazza, the likes of him aren't produced they're born.

What;s he saying? dont blame the Manager the players are shit Just seen it. He was spot on.
