What's the best result to make it harder for Spain to get through?

I think some of our american cousins are a bit naive regarding Terry. This is the kind of character we are dealing wiv: "Alicia last night revealed how the footballer also urged her to have a threesome with him at a nightclub. And he then went back to the same club weeks later to have sex with her in the toilets, before meeting up with her behind then girlfriend Toni's back. Terry approached 30-year-old Alicia around four years ago in West London's Movida club - while Toni was expecting twins Georgie John and Summer Rose. She said: "John was sitting in the VIP lounge with with Rio Ferdinand and some other men. I knew Rio hated me because of my past with some other footballers, so I was surprised when John beckoned to me. He told me, 'I called you over because you've got really nice boobs'." Alicia, who has had 15 breast operations, added: "I was going through a stage where I was getting a lot of stick for the amount of plastic surgery I'd had so I loved that he was complimenting me." She said she started sipping champagne with Terry and within minutes they were kissing. Terry told her: "You're the best-looking girl in here." She said: "He put a cocktail stirrer in my cleavage and made explicit remarks about what he'd like to do to me. "Then he said, 'Do you like girls? I'd love to have a threesome with you'. I told him I didn't mind, and he said, 'Let's go and find a girl'. In no time at all he had grabbed a brunette and started snogging us both in a corner of the club." The second time they met, Terry persuaded Alicia to have sex with him in the club's toilets. She said: "It was a few weeks later. I was drunk and I'm not proud of what happened. I think John tipped the toilet attendant to turn a blind eye. "I was expecting it to get into the papers but it didn't. I wouldn't be surprised if John or his minders managed to stop the story somehow. Afterwards he kept saying, 'You're not going to tell anyone, are you?'" After that they saw each other half a dozen times. Alicia said: "He was very, very careful, but he loved the danger. Advertisement - article continues below » "He would call me from a blocked number and say, 'Meet me at the end of Sloane Street (in Chelsea)'. He'd drive up in his black Range Rover, then we would drive to Battersea Park or somewhere quiet and do it on the cream leather seats. He was like a kid in a candy store - he would just want to have sex. His trousers would only be halfway down his knees and his shoes would still be on. "I kept our affair quiet because I really liked him. I knew he was a player but I naively thought he could be the one. I knew his girlfriend was pregnant but I thought we could have a relationship." http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2010/01/31/we-had-sex-in-his-range-rover-john-always-kept-his-shoes-on-115875-22007573/

Fits with this: http://www.football365.com/story/0,17033,8652_6217851,00.html Although Lampard has just been defending Terry. So according to that a clear the air meeting did take place but Terry decided or was instructed to not speak out. All in all a strange affair which will do nothing to ease England's on the pitch worries if you ask me.. He was told he didn't have the backing of the majority of the players basically and to keep his mouth shut. But he spoke anyway, well this world cup campaign has gone well.

"According to sources here, Terry has been a hugely disruptive influence. One spoke of an incident during training when Terry clashed with the fitness coach, Massimo Neri, over some shuttle runs he was being ordered to do. Terry refused, Capello intervened and told him to keep running and after one more sprint the Chelsea defender claimed his hamstring was sore and walked off the pitch. 'He is angry because he is not the captain,' said one insider Another time Capello reprimanded him for not paying attention, screaming: ‘Focus, focus!’

Apparently after giving it large in the Press conferance, he didn't even speak up at the meeting.

What's going on with this bloke?

Lampard has proved with Essien, Drogba, Obi Mikel and Malouda and Ballack around him that he can look good at Chelsea. FYP He is still a top drawer player though and he does look better playing with them but i think that is as much down to them knowing each others games better rather than just ability. Especially with Mikel as I don't rate him in the slightest. i never know what people can't understand about this - football is littered with players who are consistently good or great at club or even european level but once taken out of their comfort zone and put into an unfamiliar team they don't perform this is frank lampard, he's virtually the dictionary definition of it really Not to mention he is part of a Chelsea side that routinely roll over 90% of the opposition. When up against a team of other international players with good technique and no fear, reagardless of the size of the country I'm sure they start doubting themselves when things don't go well the first 20 minutes. Every professional team in the world can match you for effort....its that little bt of extra skill and technique that will take you past teams. Sadly we lack it, all we have is a bunch of blokes that can run for 90s. The countries set up for producing players is totally incorrect, this is what happens when you allow load mouth cunts like Howard Wilkinson in. Ball skill and control over fitness anytime. Agreed.

The players aren't speaking to him after that apparently.

I would keep Capello till the next world cup and drop Terry and Rooney for the qualifyiers till the remember what it means to play for England again. Asking for beers after the Algeria game...
-
Nice backtrack.
-
This really is a tedious debate. Look England for two decades cried out for the FA to go and get a manger with a good understanding of the modern game, a good track record and tactical awareness. First we had Ericksson who is a good manager without a doubt and now we have Capello who is as good as any in the world....The problem they have is that the mentality of the players they have to work with is little more than painter and decorators looking for the next crafty scam or tea break.
-
Calling a meeting and telling Capello what they think, admitting in a press conference that they're going to do it and even joking about doing it, it's almost as if England players are willing a fallout to happen. It's madness As I was saying earlier this lot are completely detached from reality.

Glad he's got over the drug nightmare and enjoying his football again.

Our best cheat is Gerrard, but he's an amateur compared to any South American who's ever kicked a ball.
-
I will single out Arg and Brazil for cheating all day long. I can forgive the Italians cause they've turned it into a fascinating sub-art, soemthing to look out for as they druge out draws and one nils.
-
Did you watch Italy earleir on? Yeah but that's a given isn't it. They are master cheats, like it's an art. There's a kind of nobility about it. South Americans just cheat cos they know no better. France? England? Germany? Portugal?... Portugal cheat, but they are almost like the Brazilians in their cheat ethic. France, Germany and Eng cheat a lot less IMO. Eng had to learn to cheat remember, the initial lessons were given by Klinsmann when at Spurs.

Anyone who start thinking Brazil don't routinely cheat isn't really watching them play. About 3x kaka dived and looked around expecting a fk and the ref just played on.

Who fvkin cares South Americans will cheat us all day long. Glad it happenned, shame the Ivory didn't crock a couple more.

Anelka and some of the others reckon Domench has bungled this campaign and are rightfully frustrated.
