We won't go down Gemma, you and I know that.
-
I can categorically state that we WILL NOT go down. Even so the current situation is unnaceptable.

Probably would have been better to round it up to a tenner. bluewink.gif

Roedometer needs updating Nut.

Would love to sell bits of him in the club shop fullstop.

Unfortunately your wrong. Sven is a ditherer under pressure and isn't a hands on coach. His training methods and fitness regimes have a lot to be desired if feedback from England players is anything to go by. His inability to drop Beckham says it all. Anyway science has proved beyond doubt that Swedes aren't good at anything. bluewink.gif

Spurs have a very professional and good setup atm. But Jol isn't good enough to win things I'm afraid. The left side still hasn't been addressed has it?
-
"Waffeeer" actually.

As a DOF though he would be ideal. blueyes.gif

At Roma and Samp he only won the Coppa Italia and it is a competition not really rated in Italy for various reasons as top Italian sides focus mainly on Europe as they do here. He won the league at Benfica iirc twice, but they win the league almost every other year with or without him in a 3 team league. Winning the Uefa cup with Goteborg mind isn't something to be sniffed at as they are relatively a small club. His big success was winning SerieA at Lazio in a very strong league in a very strong year, but as I said he did have huge transfer funds at his disposal. Imo he doesn't have the man management skills for the situation we are in. Although I agree at any other time he would be a good candidate. Just not now.

Just get out.

I'm fully aware of his record Ozzie.

One of the most overrated managers out there imo. Has zero fighting spirit and no charisma, all things we need right now.
-
I have doubts about Sven as Newcastle manager yes, because it is a special situation and one that I don't beleive he would thrive at. People have to realise that when he won the title with Lazio they spent €100m plus that season, back then it was a hell of a lot of cash and actually nearly drove the club to the wall. We don't have that kind of money and he is only an average man manager and under pressure he has failed as we have witnessed for England.

Sven is good at some things, Newcastle United though would destroy his mind within a week. Wouldn't work and would be a costly and frustrating mistake, perhaps the last act in this circus. Swedes I have come to realise aren't good at anything. Thier minds are akin to thier Nordic bretheren the Germans, but without the willpower and occassional dark flair. What you have left is a lot of boring cold calculation and vacuous unresponsive blue eyes. blueyes.gif bluewink.gif

That's the weekend well and truly destroyed now. :wullie:

"Middlesbrough’s eventful season ended with relegation on the final day of the season..." "Bryan Robson made a dream start to his managerial career as Middlesbrough won the Division One title and promotion to the Premiership in their final season at Ayresome Park before relocation to the new 30,000-seat Riverside Stadium on the banks of the River Tees. He was assisted by Viv Anderson, another former Manchester United player. "Middlesbrough made an ambitious return to the Premiership and attracted expensively-signed big names like Nick Barmby and the Brazilians Juninho and Branco. They went fourth in the Premiership in October 1995 and were optimistic of at least a UEFA Cup place, possibly even a title challenge. But an injury crisis severely demoralised the side and they slid down the table to finish 12th. Robson splashed out millions of pounds in the summer of 1996 by signing the Italian striker Fabrizio Ravanelli and the Brazilian midfielder Emerson. But these expensive acquisitions were not enough to prevent Boro starting the 1996-97 campaign on a low note and things were made worse in January when they were deducted three points for postponing a fixture at short notice due an injury crisis. But the centre of attention at the Riverside was soon the possibility of a first-ever major trophy as the club reached the finals of both domestic cups. In the first final, Boro drew 1-1 with Leicester after extra time but lost 1-0 in the replay. Middlesbrough’s eventful season ended with relegation on the final day of the season, whereas they would have avoided relegation and finished in 14th place had it not been for the points deduction which was not overturned despite continued appeals." bluebigeek.gif bluebigeek.gif bluebigeek.gif bluebigeek.gif Just incase we needed killing off....Another unlucky manager.

OMG!!!! bluebigeek.gif bluebigeek.gif bluebigeek.gif I thought it couldn't get any worse.

The wages thing is mental. iirc Dyer is on 60k as well as Luque and Duff. God only know what Martins is on??

Basically without putting up a 6 para humungous post...Simply put our team doesn't have a strong spine. The core of the side is too lightweight. Look: ........................Moore/Taylor................. .........................Parker(Headless midget) .........................Oba (Headless midget).... That SPINE WOULD COMPARE UNFAVOURABLY with any top 10 side if not more.

Good e mail from Craig Robson and some very basic yet salient points made. Good read. Another thing we have overlooked is that our team is too lightweight for a PL campaign, I mean they're all dwarfes aren't they? .....And do we have too many left footers? (I know desperation has set in). There have been so many instances in the last two games where oppurtunities or passes break down cause our key players have been wanting to get it on the left peg.
