"If you'd have seen him alot in his Bari and Roma days the ability was there for all to see." 2J If If If If If If............................. We haven't got time to **** about, the alarm bell is ringing and I can smell smoke... bluebigeek.gif

Cassanno - another wildly overrated SerieA playboy. Would dissapear without trace in the PL.
-
Shearer is not the ans, he needs 5 years as a manager before we should even consider him.
-
Gray, The Directors and secretary hold an emergency meeting and a temp chairman is put in place. There would be no emergency, not sure what you're on about.
-
Ranieri would be absoloutely wrong for us at this time. He doesn't have the inner strength. We need a hungry young manager ready to make his bones.

Good point pudding.
-
Who is he like? He's just a Russian with a U.K. passport, if I was running the Toon and I wanted Hiddink I'd run the baby billionaire out of town. bluebiggrin.gif

I was being ironic Candy hence the smiley.

No top manager needs PL league experience just their beleifs, systems and ways to put it into practice.
-
Getttable and imo good managers at this time I would only go for Curbishley. If we had more time and weren't in danger of being relegated and still semi-gettable I'd have Hiddink. Ungettable and fantasy land stuff:Thomas Doll, Rijkaard or Van Basten.

Yeah it's the supporters fault.

"According to a few sources Shepherd merely vetoed or outright objected to Roeder's targets and went out and did the Duff and Martins deals. If true however you could blame Roeder for not walking away when Fat Fred did this." Cali Feck that! I blame him for even taking the job, he must have always known deep down that it was too big for him. But yes FS always meddles in transfers of course.

"He questioned the likes of leaving Taylor and Ramage out when they had done a good defensive job against Palermo." Taylor the twice I've seen him on the right has been in a different class to Carr and it isn't even his natural position.

I think too much is made on these boards of Roeders good end to last season. A team watching thier manager sacked nearly always play their arses off for 7/8 games before the status quo starts to return. It is clear there just isn't enought coaching and preperation going on behind the scenes and it is also clear the Roeder is a reactive manager and not a proactive manager. Totally failed to address the team shortcomings in the summer and spent too much on one player and bought another we didn't really need.

...........He did but as he was spinning around in little circles, I don't think they heard him. tongue.gif

I don't think I've been breathing properly since the whistle went! blueupset.gif

Ha ha...Serious bit of snifta.
-
Cause he was strolling around instead of making himself available when we had the ball. People at the match must have noticed.
-
He should never have taken the job and definately not canvassed for it as he did, although he denies it. I really don't like him, I don't care how nice he is, he has a responsability to THE CLUB and he knows in his heart of hearts that he isn't good enough.

At least it will help me keep a straight and depressed looking face during Poker night. bluesigh.gif

Parky backs Curbs. Very decent manager, light years ahead of this clown.

We made 2 catastrophic purchases in Luque and Boumsong and the board cannot be blamed in any way for that, apart from the fact they didn't see through Sourmess earlier. To add to this we bought Owen for I'd say £8m more than his real value and all the injury baggage he brings with him. This last purchase was GS's final throw of the dice and the jury is still out on whether Owen will be a good return on a £24m (inc wages and bonuses) we have invested in him. I doubt it unless he makes a miracle recovery and stays fit. The Owen purchase is something at the time although one showing huge ambition, also smacks for me a little bit of not properly thinking through the impact of such a big 'one investment' strategy.

Tbf to Ne5 a hedge fund or other investment vehicle's first responsability is to ITSELF, ie its investors. It is motivated purely by profit and will have goals and a very concrete 3-5yr plan on returning profits.
