It's not like we've given Ba a lot of service so far this season. He's essentially managed to get the majority of his goals by doing all the work himself. Really looking forward to seeing them together on the pitch. Reckon Ba will drop a little deeper to help set up the attacking play (as he did vs Man U), with Cisse on the shoulder of the last defender looking to use his pace. Should be interesting! theres a youtube vid of his goals this season, you'll find, in ronaldo's words, "you're wrong" Ba is very good at creating chances for himself tbf. The Man U goal is a perfect example of getting a goal from nothing.

Simpson is comfortably better than Shola. He's also the second best full back at the club, which is why he is playing every week. Had we had Ba and Cissé up front yesterday, we would have been ahead after Simpsons cross in the opening minutes. He has also saved our arses on at least three occasions this season by being on the right place in the right time. The stick he gets on here is bloody awful tbh.

It will be good to have them as options but we'll need to step up our performance behind them because our lack of creativity tonight was as bad as you'll see in the Premiership. It's not like the supply to Ba has been terrific this season, but when you have quality like that up front, they create chances out of nothing. All of the sudden we'll have some movement up front and someone to aim for, it'll make a massive difference.

It was the worst performance I've ever seen since his last performance. He's improving. The scary part is that he isn't, because that was fucking abysmal. Thank fuck the Dembas are back for Villa.
