It was a pretty short interview. Pleased with the team but felt we should have done better in he ball. Mitrovic gave us a presence even though he gave it away too many times. His header was a turning point/gave us belief. Thinks we'll have ups and downs in the first 10 games (A bit negative, but kept emphasizing the ability to use the ball better which was good). Also in the Mitrovic interview he said the fans were behind us all game and pleased they had a song about him already. He was tired but wants to keep starting and hopes to score his first goal in the next few games, wants more crosses. He thinks he stayed calm all game and needs to do that

Agree, looks like a quality player. His close control allows him far more time than some others, and he often picks out really clever passes. I know he's playing ACM, but how many central midfielders do you see that can dribble like he does? Pretty rare to see that.

Bit harsh with this post tbf. Bull s***, he is a coward who is trying to deflect massive criticism of him and his regime at NUFC. The money spent is too little too late. We are not fasttracking ourselves up the league with this spending, if anything we are standing still. My own opinion is that we aren't even doing that, because as a squad we are nowhere near equipped enough. The players may all have potential, but I guarantee even in the age of the internet 90% of our fans no nowt about our signings. We have a manager or coach who was sacked by a Championship side and who has failed badly in 4 of his 6 jobs. Yes he did great at Boro and and Twente, but in general he's the wally with the brolly and this is from someone who rates him and likes him and hopes he succeeds. 50m spent and McClaren isn't progress, its simply a side step. Progress would be someone like Vieira or Tuchel and 100m with proven players signed. Don't be fooled man. We should be thankful to the Ashley Out guys because without them it would be either Pardew and Carver or Carver. When did Vieira become an 'exciting' manager?

Looking forward to see Thauvin, but anytime we have Obertan starting I lose all confidence we'll get anything.

On the whole we always seem to go for the right player imo. You don't see us buying people like James Chester for 8m or Robert Earnshaw for 24m.

Even if he signs in time for the game I expect McClaren will start him on the bench.

Thauvin to replace Obertan seems like the easy thing to do. However I imagine he'll drop Anita, bring in Sissoko central and Thauvin on the right
