Geremi has never ever played thirty games a season under Mourinho. 24 last season. No need to be petty over a few games, the point still stands. You just said he played 30 odd games a season! Last season, he started 15 league games - and that's the most he's ever played since Ranieiri was there. Your point doesn't stand. He was there to fill in because of a defensive crisis, same reason Michael Essien played at centre back. 30 odd, 24. A few games difference. considering Chelsea play roughly 60 a season I wasn't that far out. Chelsea play in more than the premiership as well. So I think my point is valid. Disagree if you like, it doesn't really bother me. He was saying you said 30 games a season when really he's played 24 games just this season but not in previous ones. Ok. He still plays a hell of a lot for a so called "back up". If he played that much he'd fit into your criteria of playing in the double championship team wouldn't he.

come on, Solano has done well for us there but you can't possibly think he's as effective as Geremi They're both right wingers who can do a job further back. Just because Geremi's played there for Chelsea doesn't make him any better. i know, but Geremi has the attributes to play back there. Solano has the intelligence and very little else I agree Geremi is infinitely faster, stronger and more athletic. Also a better tackler. We'll see. I'd rather not have a right winger who Boro fans thought shirked his defensive duties at right back. Nah, I'd rather have a player whom Jose Mourinho considered good enough to play there for the double champions. Oh right, we'll sign Hilario too then, yeah? f****** hell. Hilario played a few games for them in his career whereas Geremi played 30 odd games a season. f****** hell Obviously not..

Loved that Derby game My personal favourite was our victory away to Leeds United, 3-1 down against a very good side away from home to win it with a last minute Solano goal was brilliant

Did you hear? Berbatov's off to Man Yoo

Gets around a bit Lampard doesn't he,

expiring.

Nope, you missed the bit just before when they said "Everything we are about to say is a lie....Newcastle United could tonight tie up the signing of..."

Geremi thread...

Seen him a few times in the champions league, very fast player who generally plays wing back, couldn't give a full opinion on him though, heard a lot of promising things about him.
-
Honestly you are kidding me right? You are seriously not using that to back up your claim that he's world class? I have to agree with you on that one that's pretty poor backup.
-
He's not world class but he's not as bad as your making him out to be. He's an average La Liga player who's played above his station and gets away with it because of the quality around him. He's made a lot more of his ability than he should of imo. I simply cannot state how much we do not need this type of player, it will only take time for myself to be proven right about him if he comes to our club. Works both ways, you say he gets more credit because of the quality around him but in the same token your inclined to criticize him because of the quality of around him, he's not at their level.
-
There definitely would but i still think we must give him time, before we had Roeder and Souness who hadn't proved them self before the appointment so there was reason for the sacking as i for one didn't feel they could take us foward but with Sam he's achieved so much at Bolton over a period of time. Secondly, despite these comments from Sam i still think he believes we'll make the uefa cup, he's just trying to put everything into perspective.

If Sam thinks it will take 5 years then i'm all for it, i trust the guy completely and i think he's earned that respect from his job at Bolton. It's about time we started doing things differently and the time to start is now.

Surely not

There are FOUR defenders (Diawara, Bergsson, N'Gotty, Barness/Southall) FIVE midfield players (Nolan, Frandsen/Gardner, Farrelly, Charlton, Pedersen) and ONE striker (Ricketts) in that team! 4-5-1! Allardyce has NEVER played any other formation at Bolton. Dean Holdsworth played the lone striker role when he first arrived, followed by Michael Ricketts, then Kevin Davies and now Nicolas Anelka. Pederson played upfront.
-
Trust me, you WILL be fully prepared for each and every game. Every player will know their role. Gone are the days of conceeding goals at free-kicks and corners. Just be prepared to sacrifice flair for efficiency. (We lost to Charlton TWICE last season!) Once...?

Deco's quality, can't believe he's been branded overrated.

He should get in double figures vs Singapore, tbh. It's 55mins and 1-0, Simplest of goal really, two defenders couldn't manage to out jump him and he just headed it in. This striker from Singapore is pissing Lucas Neill everywhere, we should try to sign him lol. Or maybe every striker in epl can piss Lucas Neill Is it on english t.v?
-
Although he's still young, he doesn't come across as a typical 'big game player' a la Gerrard at all. In fact I think it took him something like 9 games against Real Madrid before he scored a goal. My prediction is he'll get about 14 or 15 league goals, something decent but not amazing considering it's Liverpool. I think he'll find this league a tougher one than Spain (his physical presence over there means nothing over here) but he'll be playing for a better team. He scores v Barcelona nyon every time they play.
