  1. So it took him 15 years to finally get a job in a decent league?
  2. Sven > Pearce Thai bloke with loads of cash > clueless debt ridden bloke So things must be on the up then! Had to be really, as I had you down as certs for the drop if you didn't get something sorted. Short term, think you'll be looking at something similar to Villa last year - enough time to get in a few key players before the new season, but too late for a real overhaul. Longer term, not too sure about Sven - getting on a bit now isn't he, and comes with colossal baggage - combination of him and the dodgy dictator means a potential field day for the tabloids.... They're in a much better position than we were before last season - our takeover went through after the closing of the transfer window. Eh? Didn't you buy that ex-Celtic player after teh takeover? Petrov? No, we bought him before the takeover went through. Although word has it that Lerner in some way helped us find the cash. Either way, the takeover had not gone through - my point is that City's will go through well before the deadline and the new manager should have a summer before the season starts. I'd cringe of the thought of Sven been our manager especially with the stereotypical view of the farce we can be but maybe this is the sort of manager Man City need in order to progress. Why would you cringe at the thought of Sven? His club record is excellent. So, he f***** up at England, but that job has beaten many other excellent managers before him. And his games won record was very good. Why? because he's a complete nutjob that's why, so he spent 150m with Lazio and won the league... doesn't make him a great manager.

    David Rozehnal

Speaking to a PSG fan he said he can do better than us
  5. Good point, he didn't even play Luque in the reserves. The first game he played he scored two 30-yard screamers away to Liverpool and then disappeared off the radar again for ages. The way Roeder handled it was bizarre and disgraceful when you consider it's his job to get the best out of and deal with difficult players. Shocking. Now we've got a proper manager in who recognises his duties and you know he'll work hard to try and make it work. Difficult really, if Roeder didn't feel he could get Luque to play anything like his level he didn't really have much choice but not to play him, at the end of the day he was trying to win games and Luque been in the team wouldn't have helped him achieve that. What about when we played Charlton and Shefield United? he had Duff up front ffs. Luque hasn't done himself many favours since he's been here however Roeder didn't go out of his way to help the situation either. Duff has played upfront for Ireland and was still a better option than Luque tbf. He wasn't like, after the Charlton game he should have been shifted back out wide as he never looked like scoring. When has Luque ever looked like scoring when playing in the Premiership? not trying to criticise Luque as i'm probably one of his biggest fans on here and on the same token i'm not trying to praise Duff as he's played very poor all season but if it was down to Luque who had never shown any form or Duff who'd you'd expect to play well based on his premiership career, i'd go with Duff.

  7. Am i the only one who didn't believe Babel would be this good?

  9. It wasn't on the breaking news bar. It was David Craig reporting.

relax, he'll have a medical on monday then he will sing his contract. Should be entertaining
  11. We never lost a game under Carver, OMG SIGN HIM BACK UP, KICK SAM OUT TBH!!111!!!!!11 good shout
  12. He isn't a striker anyway, i'd take him anyday we haven't got a playmaker in the squad.

    Luke Young

If he was our second choice RB though, then it would be a good move. Carr sold/released/part of the Young deal, Solano as backup to the right wing, and Taylor placed firmly in the centre, where he needs to be, it would be criminal to move him there and should be avoided at all costs. Plus another RB, Sagna or another £5m+ player. Same goes for the LB position, we need that at a minimum next season if we are to be taken seriously. (That's not to mention another 2/3 CB's) 2nd choice? how many players do you think he's going to sign, he already needs i'd say 3 center halfs not to mention a left back and that's not even discussing midfield and forward players.
  14. I can now pull out my old home top with Luque on the back
  15. Drenthe, if bought, would likely be starting at LB. As for Babel, you need 4 quality strikers in your squad and he'd play plenty of games if he came here regardless. He just wouldn't be expected to be the player we depend on right away, which at his age would be a help rather than a hindrance to him. Bigger opportunities will arise for all these players so i don't believe we'll even be an option.
  16. FUCK OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF U DUTCH CUNTS
