We should move for him and Fabricio Coloccini in a joint bid, throwing Luque back the other way. Both players are quality, would be our CB shopping done for the season (along with rozy) No chance Depor would sell both though surely? They will sell, they need the money, they already sold Arizmendi to Valencia and Capdevilla has also left.

Did anyone see the tramp asking for an autograph?

I really don't see how this Owen and Martins thing is going to work.

http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=473773&CPID=8&clid=4&lid=&title=Rozehnal+set+to+Czech+in Paris Saint Germain's David Rozehnal has arrived in the North East to finalise his move to Newcastle United. The Magpies have held off stern competition to land the Czech defender - a story first revealed on skysports.com. Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce tried to sign Rozehnal in January for Bolton, but he finally looks to have secured his man for his new club. Both Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla showed a strong interest, but it was Newcastle who managed to strike a deal with PSG. Allardyce made strengthening his defence his main priority, after securing deals for Mark Viduka and Joey Barton earlier this month, and Rozehnal looks set to put pen-to-paper in the next 48 hours.

Weren't there some there having a go at Barton when he signed? yeah
-
Not judging him on this, but i watched a few highlights from PSG games and that's exactly the same impression i got of him, fast and good at intercepting but weak from set pieces.
-
Excellent

You read it and responded in the space of 24 seconds? I would agree with what you said, i think Emre's best attribute is making short passes and getting himself around the pitch and with a DCM and Barton making the runs into the box it could work well.

ITK style but Chivu will be presented along with Henry.

Other than two keepers I'm struggling to name any, Hislop and Hooper are the only two I can remember. Hottiger, Barton, Fox and Asprilla were all s****. Paid about £13 million for that lot, what would that be with the inflation on transfers today? £30 millionish? ******* hell man, give the lad a chance

Am I missing something? They were our players, nowt to do with Allardyce. Sorry, no - i didn't phrase it very well. All of the 'loan ends' in Sir Bobby's list, and the vast majority of players in Allardyce's list, are of equal irrelevance to the managers' respective track records. If you see what i mean. Imo, anyway. And the players deemed to have been unsuccessful won't be correct either, it's based on recent years for e.g JJ.O,Djorkaeff etc the players he had in his first seasons may acutally have done a good job especially seen as they stayed up.

didn't realise these were our signings.

Look at all the loan signings... most of these players were signed as short term moves, probably as cover for what they already had ,so it wasn't really a question of Allardyce wanting these players in the club on a permanent basis.

I back all managers to start with but lets not get carried away with Sam's buying he has bought a hell of lot of dead wood at Bolton. So? he's got the best out of almost everyone so it's irrelevant.
-
Say what you want about how Luque has done at Newcastle, his commitment ect. But that comment really is just complete nonesense. You don't score goals against the best teams in Europe and be considered a top player in La Liga consistently by being an average player...
-
No thats now Bartons. Ah right, cheers. He also played under 20 didn't he? Sorry if these are obvious questions! Yes.

I agree. Although, i do rate Scolari higher. The guys a genious on the international scene. England had the better squad of players on both occasions. I disagree. Certainly in ths case of 02. But even so, they're isnt much of a difference. 02: England: Seaman; Mills, Campbell, Ferdinand, A Cole; Beckham, Scholes, Butt, Sinclair; Owen, Heskey Brazil: Marcos; Cafu, Roque Junior, Lucio, Edmilson, Roberto Carlos; Gilberto, Ronaldinho(Sent off), Kleberson; Ronaldo, Rivaldo 04: England: James; Neville, Terry, Campbell, A Cole; Beckham, Lampard, Gerrard, Scholes; Owen, Rooney (Vassell after he broke his foot) Portugal: Ricardo; Miguel, Andrade, Carvalho, Valente; Maniche, Costinha, Deco, Figo, Ronaldo; Nuno Gomes 06: England: Robinson; Neville, Terry, Ferdinand, A Cole; Beckham, Hargreaves, Gerrard, Lampard, J Cole; Rooney(Sent off), Portugal: Ricardo; Miguel, Meira, Carvalho, Valente; Figo, Maniche, Petit, Tiago, Ronaldo; Pauleta Anyways, I think the main reason Scolari gets such a tonguing was because of 04...Sven was seen as someone who always stuck by his big names no matter how they performed but Scolari had the balls to sub Figo...and it worked. Sorry i didn't mean Brazil, i was talking about Euro 2004 and World cup 2006, so both Portugal games.

Look at the time

Ye i skimmed it but leaving Sweden to goto Italy and then 10 years later or so he ends up managing in the Portuguese league... hardly looks good. What about Bobby Robson leaving Spain for Holland? working with Romario was too much of a lure
