harsh. he's defeintly a premier standard full back. Painfully exposed positionally at times. Decent defender when you sit back. Can't play a high line, can't cross, can't pass, can't dribble.

I almost feel bad for them. If Danny Simpson was a product I'd buy at a retailer with the impression of him having the attributes they've for some reason pictured, I'd return him after 2 minutes. They are going to be so disappointed

Debuchy for €7m (more than a fair price) not only cures our main weakness, it means we'll line up with TWO full backs that are good going forward. I've never seen that at Newcastle. What a ridiculuos upgrade on Simpson.

Starts the next season on relatively shit form and can't score for the love of his life, slated by all Liverpool fans as well. Dropped from England, his manager loses faith in him, then goes back up to Newcastle and dives, gets substituted, laughed at and falls out with Kenny. Then re-discoveres some sort of form (has 2-3 good games), gets picked for the Euro's, does alright, comes back and they want to LOAN him to fucking West Ham. I bet he regrets the move every day.

Agreed, if Ba is trying to get those reassurances, I'd consider selling him. Not really "thinking about the team" if you prioritize your own position.
