I'm actually not against signing Williams at all. Good stopper who's used to play football on the ground in contrast to Williamson. Doubt Swansea will let him go cheap though as they've already lost Stephen Caulker. That would mean they've lost their CB pairing from last season.

I just finished watching the season review DVD. Demba is fucking class. What a pair of strikers we have in him and Papiss. They are going to tear shit up this year.

Some people should check the earlier parts of this thread. We were all convinced he was going to tear the whole world apart when we sold him. At his best he was unplayable. That potential is forgotten by so many.

Armstrong and Satka clearly our best players. Oliveira who crossed for their goal is really gifted.

I think Carroll was immense starting from that FA Cup game at WBA. He was mental until the moment we sold him. He then returned to play in the same way that saw him benched in favour of Shola and Harewood.

This perception of his inability to play good football is a bit weird. It derives from the impression people have of him at Liverpool. They've been fucking shit for the entire time he's been there. Remember his performance against the mackems for example. Couldn't do any wrongs, linked up well, showed signs of pace and was a menace all round. I he offers so much more than just his heading, he showed it so much when at Newcastle. It's up to the team not to resort to launching it towards him.

He is a very good option to have. One of the best aerial threats in the league. At home, when we put loads of balls into the box, he'll be a big asset. To have him, Ba and Cissé gives us a fantastic strikeforce.
