Leicester City Vs. Newcastle United Sat. Jan 30th 2010 17:20 KO Live on SKY

I think if we want Nolan to score we have to play 4-5-1 so he can just stay upfront with the striker(whoever it may be). -
I hope you are right. But Hughton's started Nolan virtually every league game that he's been available either in central midfield or playing off the striker. As long as we're top the league, I'm not sure he'll make the change. And I gather Nolan along with Smith is something of a clubhouse leader, which may mitigate against a change. But you're right about Hughton trying different things. When he took over temporarily last season he started Xisco, didn't he? I don't think he'd even made an appearance and Hughton started him two or three times immediately after taking over. If we are truly interested in Huseklepp then we could see nolan being droped/given a rest to regain his goal scoring form unless Hughton has realised we can't get a proper out and out striker this window and is going to revert to a 4-5-1 system.

officially the players haven't been payed again today - SSN

I guess we'd play him upfront? Maybe as a second striker.
-
Same, that's just fucking tragic like.

Newcastle United Vs. Crystal Palace Wed. Jan 27th 2010 7:45pm KO
Legacy replied to Fenham Mag's topic in Football
Who can actually play tonight for palace? I see quite a few are missing through injury as well. -
Probably because we only have 3 fit defenders..
-
Very. Never got off the bench for Portsmouth either, which nobody has given us an adequate reason for. Not sure but I went to OT with a few mates (they're united fans) when they were playing pompey so I agreed to tag along, Routledge was on the bench that night and pompey were s***, however he came on 2nd half as a sub quite early on and he was easily their best player by quite some distance..
-
Lovely bit of skill from Ronaldinho there.
-
Sums us up really.. we only ever seem to play well in one half and play shit in the other.
-
Really starting to annoy me how many chances he misses..
-
I think FA cup weekends make it even worse when you see the likes of reading and leeds etc having a go at teams where as we just turn up and don't even try to win.. I'm all for concentrating on the league but you'd like to think whatever 11 we put out, they'd at least give Brom a game.
-
They knew he was going to suffer knee ligament damage before it happened? I meant they knew he was carrying a slight knock before he played (cause a few people have already claimed he was struggling during the game). Not saying it has a direct link to what happened with him colliding with bednar. I guess it did sound kind of stupid the way i'd typed it.
-
This would explain our obsession with defenders of late.. reckon they knew taylor was injured before the brom game in fairness. Kadar better be at cb back today or I will be livid if they attempt to play either simpson or butt at cb.
-
To be honest knowing the way we operate, we probably just took their word for it and haven't got any paper work.. I'm not sure on all the details, but they had a "report" from the Northeast about 15 minutes ago, It'll probably pop up again no doubt.

For the sake of £1m, if it really was to do with this clause thing, I think they'd sooner sell Kaboul for £5m+ than Williamson for £1m. It was in reference to the deal pompey had struck with Newcastle in terms of how much Newcastle were paying and how much pompey actually owe, i.e. pompey realised they were still going to be short on cash to pay watford.
-
It was apparently the person they had representing pompey agreed a deal with us for 900k without knowing they owed 1.2 mil to Watford or something along those lines..Sums pompey up really.
-
Delayed due to pompey misreading the fine print on the contract - SSN.
-
Taylor is carrying a knock at the moment isn't he?
-
He didn't get into a pompey side because of the fact they couldn't afford to play him.
-
Considering both West Ham and Hull are watching O'Connor, it's unlikely. Hooper would be a good signing. Better than Carroll anyway. One of the guys I know from playing Call of Duty is O'connor's cousin, he lives down the road from me.. if there was any truth in it I'd get him to tell me.

This is nothing compared to yesterdays Irish cup game, it was abandoned due to the game turning into a mass brawl involving both first 11s, subs, and management.

WTF was Green doing?

It was 2-1 and Reading had a pen saved.. could of been diffrent
