Been arguing this on here for ages. It's the primary message we need to get through to the club IMO. Frankly couldn't care less if it pisses off ST holders, if they don't like it, don't renew.

Perhaps the reason for limiting memberships (which should have been communicated ahead of on sale date) is so they can limit the amount of tickets available to members and still be sure every member who wants one can get one, leaving the rest for general sale...

I know I’ll be able to get to games but the lingering sadness for me is I’ve got no chance of ever getting me and the boy ST’s in the lower bowl, not for at least a decade until enough people die. I don’t want to be hoping for people to die FFS.

They can argue all they like. If we start with the agreement that fair access to tickets is what we’re aiming for, there’s absolutely no justification for it. The past is the past, we are where we are.

Can we stop the intentional false info in the threads like this? People are understandably anxious about it and talking shit about limited memberships isn’t funny, it just leads to pages and pages of shite for people to scroll through when they’re asking legitimate questions.

Also, while I’m on, it really irritated me that NUST included extra match ticket access for ST holders in their little manifesto. You can’t say that you prioritise access to tickets for as many fans as possible and also say that ST holders get first dibs, that’s bollocks.

That’s a fair point. It’s about the principal and the practical IMO. As well as it disadvantaging members who are only paying for a chance to get tickets, it also impacts on those who may not be able to afford memberships and just want a chance to get a match ticket without paying for the privilege. I understand that some may use ST friends accounts, etc, but again that relies on them being lucky enough to know someone with a ST. Bearing in mind the ratio of ST holders to spare seats is roughly 2:1 I think I it’s a huge disadvantage to members/non-members and makes the buying process a lot more stressful than it should be. ST holders already have their seat for the rest of their life, if they want it, that’s enough.

Based on the group I go with there’ll be roughly 4-6 times as many members as there was last season.

Of course it should, up until now ST holders have had the same ‘extra’ ticket rights as members. It’s unfair IMO.

Eurgh. ST holders should not be able to buy extra tickets at the same time as members, it’s complete bollocks this. Yes, I know ST holders are technically ‘members’ but they shouldn’t be. It’s too much privilege.
