I’d echo the the sentiments of others who have rightly, as I see it, pointed out that modern elite football is brutal capitalism in it’s purest form. I don’t tend to like brutal capitalism, but I do like football and I do like NUFC. We’ve won the lottery, nice one. We were due a bit of luck. I’ll not be guilted into not watching NUFC by anyone. I made my decision to not follow the club under Ashley (latter years) and I’ll make my own to follow them again now. As others have said, I’d encourage NUFC fans not to engage in this with other fans. It’s absolutely pointless looking for hypocrisy anywhere never mind in football, everyone is guilty of hypocrisy. Football support is tribal, emotional, raw, passionate (unless you objectively choose an already successful team to follow) and it’s full of hypocrisy. You don’t win anything for being the most morally virtuous club, there are no points available for moral victories. Either choose to follow this NUFC, and own it, or don’t. Don’t try to whatabout other fans arguments because if they’re coming from a human rights angle, they’re correct and you’re on a hiding to nothing. And if they’re coming from any other angle it’s jealously. Just smile, wink, and count your money.

Ashley and Bruce in bed together.
-
I can tell you categorically now that the majority of our fans are idiots, but that's not unique to NUFC.

I know he won’t walk away, he’s said he won’t leave. But if he wants to come and we buy out his contract…
-
Go and offer Everton his buy out now IMO
-
Think he just needs a bit more time to seattle.

mediocrity attracts mediocrity doesn’t it. Easy to see why a lot in the football industry would be intimidated/wary of Rafa due to how dedicated/analytical he is, particularly lazy journalists/pundits.

Crystal Palace vs. Newcastle United 23/10/21 @ 15:00 (No TV)

All local markets get all NFL games. There are some blackouts on gamepass due to sky games but I use a VPN to get around those. -
They would need to because that’s the process they’re following? It’s a weird argument to make I think, that no-one on the board really wants him because they’re interviewing other people? That’s not how recruitment works if you’ve agreed as a group to follow the process. Anyway, I’m glad they’re taking their time too, hopefully we don’t have to wait TOO long though so we can all argue about something else.

Shame this isn’t on TV, it would be really great if it was, and if someone advised me on where to watch it. -
apart from interviewing other managers. He can be really wanted by the UK based consortium but they’re following a recruitment process and PIF are signing off.
-
He’s already said he’s staying at Everton man what are you all going on about?
-
gonna do this in every thread now…that info from CH is nothing new, we always knew they were interviewing more names and being thorough.
-
That’s nothing new. Said all of that on the TF podcast earlier in the week. This is what I mean about no new info from UK journalists.
-
There were also the articles that were very specific about his wage, which struck me as an odd thing to release.
-
Reading between the lines it seems the UK journo’s are acting on info a few days old when things were more open ended, and mainland Europe journo’s are more up to date, arguably because they’re getting info from the PF camp rather than the club.
-
They’re just being thorough. If PF has had 3 interviews they clearly like him. Still think it’ll be him.

Meanwhile, in the real world, the club needs to make money to compete at the top. I don’t want SJP renamed but if we’ve got to do it to compete, it’s a necessary evil. Everyone is a hypocrite, by the way, it’s no basis on which to make any kind of decision (particularly a business decision). It’s as plentiful as opinions.
-
That’s meeting number 3. He’s getting it.
-
Have a feeling, maybe wishful thinking, that PIF are going to trust AS more with this than they did SB sacking. She told them what needed to be done, they didn’t act on her advice, and then they saw it for themselves at SJP.
-
Wouldn’t be massively surprised if it’s confirmed tomorrow TBH.

Interesting (and positive) stuff from Hope on the TF podcast. Talked about Fonseca’s interview. Early interest on Howe died off as they thought he would have been a likely MA appointment. Little interest in Gerrard/Lampard who are making it known they want it. Favre, Garcia, Martinez all in the running as well as PF.
-
The reports about how much he'll be getting paid strike me as a little odd, not entirely sure who would be interested in leaking that. Hopefully nothing in it.

I don’t know, should he only be given a head coaching job at a team in precisely the same circumstances as his previous job? What sort of reasoning is that? If he’s got enough about him he’ll set the team up for success based on what he’s got to work with. We’ll find that out soon enough if he’s appointed. The club are interviewing multiple candidates, these things will be discussed I’m sure.
