Well of course I couldn't give a shit right now because the games I want us to win are in a cup and to stay up. I just mean that there's not a great deal of evidence that we're progressing on the pitch. There's none.

Some of us did, because we knew that if it didnt change, this was coming.

Good post Dave. Let's not forget that aside from a few notable exceptions the football was the same last season. We will not progress under Pardew, not while he relies on keeping it tight and nicking it, because you'll always, always be undone by injuries, bad luck and more importantly the other fucking team. At some point the manager needs to make the team into one that can be more than the sum of its parts, triumph over adversity etc etc. I could take that job, make all the players my mates and win games when the other team let us. Anyone could.

'Can I not just go out there and tell them I am a fascist and that's that?' 'But Paolo, you're not a fascist' 'I am, I've already confirmed I am' 'Right..................have you got any black friends?'

The main line of argument for keeping Pardew has become 'sacking managers hasn't worked for us in the past'. When that's all you've got left you know you're talking about a manager who's just not doing his job well enough.

Does that mean the horrendous injury record we have & have had throughout the season didn't happen? Pretty irrelevant but the squad - until January - wasn't fit for purpose. It's easy to make a bad decision when all you've got on the bench is Shane Ferguson and Nile Ranger. Newcastle United 1 - 1 Aston Villa Newcastle United 0 - 1 West Ham Newcastle United 1 - 2 Swansea Southampton 2 - 0 Newcastle United Stoke City 2 - 1 Newcastle United The squad was fit for purpose to win more points in these games. Add Reading at home. For me our worst result this season by a mile. He said pre January, I didn't even need to go THERE

He actually said "To be honest, I think we are done".

People will stir it up and suck us into it

Valid, but really, all we'll do is go round in circles. SURELY it's better to just take the P at the Sunderland supporters expense ? Can we get on with it then?

Was reading the Celtic forum and they seem deeply divided about Di Canio. Guess it could go either way. And they have it right. DiCanio's got a volatile image. Always going to rile more than he gets adherents I was delighted with his appointment from a purely selfish view as a Newcastle fan. But the OTT response and soap box ranting has amazed me. thankfully, some have been doing the p*ss taking route and slowly that'll take over from the strutting orator types. This is just too good to allow to be bogged down in pompous lecturing. You're ruining the thread.

The end of the argument was Reading at home.

For those of us who were asking where they could possibly go after O'Neill failed, at least we've got our answer

Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

In a perverse sort of way I'd welcome a bit of that if it put pressure on Ashley to get us a manager that's going to get us playing football. -
Fuck off and wake up and smell the coffee.

Was that when he took the forum offline last year? I was genuinely gutted He shocked and shamed me into donating regularly. So it worked.
-
Right, this won't happen. It never happens man. ok, you can give me it when it doesn't

Interesting to hear people say they think his enthusiasm and motivation will work with the players. They've just sacked a manager who based his entire philosophy on doing that and little else.

Eh? Miliband had a role at SAFC?
