  1. I've always had a lot of time for him, I think he's suffered this season for various reasons. Hopefully next season he'll be part if a possession based team and he can really get into the swing of it (I know, I know). I still think he'd be good alongside Cabaye and Tiote as the middle man.
  2. I don't think this is anywhere near a lost cause. We very nearly scored 3 at their place.

In all seriousness it's a bit unfair I think, I don't think the desire to see nufc succeed should be questioned because you've lost faith in a manager. The thing that keeps me talking about it is how much I want to see us get it right. Much the same way that I think it's unfair to criticise him for celebrating with the fans today, they're both driven by genuine feelings.
  4. Their arses will go when they get on the coach as usual. 3-1

A fair few of them want don't want him to succeed, even if it's to our detriment within reason. From the perspective of those who want him to stay for at least another season, since we signed the players we so badly needed in January we've won 5 out of 9 in the league, including 4 out of 4 at home and progressed past two good sides in the EL. A lot of people were saying the signings would present a definitive test for him. You could argue that so far he's passing it. Who's said that?

didnt one of the haters actually admit this the other day? also reading some of the begrudging aknowledgements today, you could be forgiven for this conclusion. Haters Begrudging acknowledgement of what? That he oversaw us JUST win a game we absolutely had to win due to the awful position he's gotten us into? Some of the cynicism is completely justified, this is a manager who you thought had a 6 in 10 chance of taking us down until we beat a mediocre Fulham team at home who are already on their holidays. He won 3 points when he absolutely had to, don't try and turn it into a moral victory, it's not.

I still have nightmares about him, horrendous patter. Seriously, I've long since had any faith in Pardew but lets not criticise him for celebrating a last minute winner with the fans, that's just petty.
  9. With Jimmy Hill as honorary ref! Waving to the mackems as they boo

Brucie had to start it after 5-1, if a manager comes in and packs it in it'll be seen as not caring i suppose.

There should be nothing but unwavering support at the match. On here is different, you can be honest.
  15. still utterly non-threatening IMO. because no-one attacked them, the deliveries were good imo
  16. Thought he was poor, looked knackered though so it could be that.

cos he didnt have the players? he went into the season under manned and the added workload of the EL- just a thought like. That doesn't make sense. You can have such a positive attitude and tactics no matter what the personnel are. Look at how entertaining Blackpool were to watch in their season up with what was the worst squad in the league. having more better players gives you an opportunity to play better attacking football doesnt make sense? Showing a positive attitude and attacking tactics is nothing to do with personnel. Anycase we had the players to play attacking football at the start of the season. This is true.

    Papiss Cissé

Ridiculous that I feel the need to even say this given his run last year, but considering sone of the stuff i read on here and hear at the match, he's the real deal. Never feels pressure, you get the arrogance and missed chances but you get the cool as ice last minute winners and 35 yard super bastards as well. He's ace.
  20. Cramp. He was great today, to be honest he always looks good with one half at Everton a notable exception. Just a good little attacking player that makes things happen.
  21. Jol repeated his tactic of just telling everyone to ignore Simpson, Pardew noticed it this time and put Anita there instead, fair play. We deserved that. Cisse doesn't feel pressure, ever. It's the reason you get the constant first time shots/loose finishing, but it's also the reason he can calmly win the match for you in the last minute.
  22. More of the same. When we had the counter attack that Cisse put over the bar there was 7 of our players standing on the half way line.

I can't believe he wasn't sacked after Reading so if that were to happen I'd wait around after the derby and sack him myself.

wolves away 2-0 up should have been three, hardly a case of sitting on a lead. (QPR,Blackburn were definite muggings mind) as for the home games we'll have to disagree as IMO most of our wins were deserved and weren't as scary as many think, just that we seemed to play below what we (the fans) think we can. for all they weren't great performances I struggle to remember games at home where we didn't get what we deserved and a lot of the panic came from us, the fans, when only having a one goal lead, the atmosphere was often a lot edgier than the game imo. Whether those games were comfortable or not, I don't think it can be argued that Pardew has completely failed to move the side on from the nick one and defend style we did well with last season. In fact he took particular measures to ingrain it even deeper into the team identity, by abandoning the formation we looked best in and insisting on the static 4-4-2. Many of us knew this was coming if he didn't make an effort to progress the team over the summer. I've said it before but a good manager would have made the lack of investment over the summer into a positive, by taking what he already had and progressing it. He did the opposite by taking the team backwards.
