Given Tiote's form this season I think this lad is starting to be criminally overlooked tbh. What's the point in having competition for places when bad performances don't lead to a player losing their place in the team?

This. Our own performances are poor at best a lot of the time. People just need to pipe down a bit about the derby, save it until it's finished. No matter how bad we are I'll always back us against them, always. They drop their collective arses with such regularity.

I don't see anybody arguing that he performance today was in any way 'good'. It was what it was, a tired, disjointed performance, owing to a physically demanding game three days previously and a freakish succession of injuries. What have all our other shit results this season been down to then? Are they all down to other factors? At what point does the talent of the manager start to overcome these factors or do we actually need a season like the last one where everything goes our way (bar one or two decisions) for us to have a good season? (or even a decent season?) Another one! You can answer it if you want, that smiley doesn't really say anything. Or you can say that me, or HTT, or anyone else just say the same thing all the time to try and get us talking about posters rather than Pardew? Couldn't agree more. We've been cheated out of a point and a opposition red card but it doesn't change the fact that we were absymal today. Again, irrelevant. I really think some people miss the big picture by analysing games in isolation. I'd say there's nothing more relevant than the fact our team can't attack or create anything (bar the odd chance). Was the ref shit? Aye. It's one match though, we've been shit for the vast majority of the season, that's relevant.

Take the positives Dave. Anyone who thinks the upturn in form is anything other than new players (who tbf have been well integrated) just can't see anything. The football, is shit. The football was shit last season but we got lucky with injuries and super strikers. The football is still shit.
