That's really irritating from Ba and the sort of thing he was doing loads at the end of last season, the ball was on to Cisse, he didnt need to beat anyone.

It would improve the team, but a different formation would improve the team more imo. Agreed 4-3-3 is the way to go, but Pardew seems against it for some reason. Interesting how few pundits/commentators are liked. I think football fans are a very difficult bunch to please en masse. I guess the commentators/pundits have a lot of fans' dream jobs. Even so, you can tell they're not hired on their skills or knowledge. How, for example, Crooks or Shearer ever got jobs in the media is just staggering and pretty unfair to other people in the industry IMO. Maybe because they actually played the game.......unlike most journo's Doesn't make any difference imo, you don't have to be an actor to be a good film critic. Some critics make a concerted effort not to socialise with the people they criticise, football is the opposite of that.

I've always said that knowledgeable journalists should be pundits, put the cast of the Football Ramble on sky every week and everyone would have a better time. Punditry on the whole is crap in this country, that said, I've sat in numerous different parts of our ground and the vast majority of our fans know absolutely nothing about football.

IMO it's no coincidence that we've come in with another bid after the Ba clause expired. I think we'll be back again. The only real danger with this signing is that someone else buys him, if he stays at Lille I fully expect us to get him in January, at the price we're offering now.

BAE was close to being the best left back in the league last season imo.
