Just bought a new house in Darras Hall, friend of my brother was told he had a house viewing the other day, turned up and Colo was there!

If we pull this deal off it before the Euro it will be a major coup by the club. Has to be signed before the Euro though. He'll be out of our price range afterwards. Deubuchy will improve our right side massively. His brown eye probably got more vision for a pass than Simpson.

none of them want the job?

Genuinely looking forward to relaxing and watching him play rather than desperately hoping his every touch is gonna end up scoring us a goal. He's such a lovely player to watch.

Desperate for Nut to tell us who we're linked with in France now, you've all ruined this thread, helmets.

A million times this, the much maligned 4-4-2 would look a lot better if we had the ability to mix it up by getting to the byline and putting a cross in, not to mention the obvious benefits of natural sided full backs in a 4-3-3. We need balance. better balanced with decent players than choosing because of what foot someone kicks with. I don't disagree with you, we should be looking at bringing in the best possible full back whether it's a LB or RB and where Santon ends up playing is a consequence of which one we go for. I would say though that if there's two full backs of similar ability I'd choose a LB over a RB so we can have the option of balancing our play more.

Deals are usually agreed subject to a medical?

you think an english team is going to win the champs league and finish outside the top 4 again ? look at my post above oh i see......shouldn't we be in that situation now then ? We're more likely to be there next season, footballers careers are finite. Also, we've done better than expected this season, it'll be easier to 'under achieve' next season and that's when we'll be likely to lose players.

Whatever, I mean the mass player exodus due to no champions league.

While this is funny and I'm enjoying the thought of Harry being sick, we could easily be in their situation this time next season.

Nice to see such a high profile game played in a good spirit for once tbh. -
He's the best manager they'll have for a long, long time imo, and I don't rate him particularly highly.

hat-trick for Parky?

Every time Dave posts I hear the opening riff of Negative Creep by Nirvana.

....and then we'll beat them before November and real life comes calling, again.
-
Also, I've seen a lot of speculation that Villa/Liverpool might want Martinez. What's so appealing about a manager who gets his team playing well for 1/4 of each season?
-
I suppose his spectacular failure could only last for so long before some at Liverpool noticed it, ho hum.

Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

Nothing about assaulting a ball boy there yet... Assaulting a ball boy ffs As soon as the ball boy issues an apology for intentionally cheating, Cabaye should issue an apology for 'assaulting him' -
First of all, fantastic season . 4-4-2 was shite today though, swapping Jonas and Ben Arfa was never gonna rescue it. Not gonna waste a post frantically trying to play devil's advocate like so many others in an attempt to appear 'balanced'. He got it wrong today, Everton were good, but we shouldn't have been playing like that and it was obvious after 30 mins.
-
ALL it will take is for us to beat them early in the season and the cycle will move onto the next step, it might take a little bit longer this time because O'Neill will get them some results, but it's inevitable. You're right though, if O'Neill manages in the same way as he has everywhere else they're utterly fucked once he's gone.
