Tottenham 5 - 0 Newcastle United - 11/02/12 - post-bumrape discussion from p43

Let's not shit ourselves, we've bounced back (thanks alan) from bad results this season and we'll do it again. We're still in an absolutely fantastic position and with our midfield returning we WILL get better. I'm actually quite glad it's two weeks out now, let the lads stew for a bit. I hope this result hurts and embarasses them and the press spend two weeks writing us off so we come back with a major point to prove. The only thing I'm a bit down hearted about is this HBA/Obertan situation, it's really getting beyond a joke now. How anyone can say with a straight face that Obertan offers anything HBA doesn't I honestly don't know, especially Pardew. -

been away myself in that situation, the games gone, do what you went for. Indeed, didn't even watch the last twenty minutes, spent that time banging my hand against a sign, was the most fun I had at White Hart Lane yesterday. -
Been doing that for weeks, they sang it at SJP

seems we've been trying to move him on for ages, it's weird when he's decent back up.

You can see how it would be iconic for them. They use it all the time, it's part of the fabric of their club, which is why it crops up on things like banners welcoming O' Neill. It's just more evidence of them defining themselves in opposition to us. I only ever hear anyone say SMB in a chant against a former player of theirs or on derby day, when it's relevant.

send him

just remembered that badly laid out banner they had at MON's first game 'our FTM season starts here'

indeed, they'll all be crying out for 'international pedigree' when we bomb out of the euro's and the next world cup

eh? a slight play on the previous post and my own position that twitter is utter t*** crap for people desperatly in need of attention for attentions sake for whom being heard is more important than being understood, therefore i would rather stare at a wall than partake in the megalomaniac wankfast that is twitter. fair enough, see post above. All twitter does is gives people opportunity to publish stuff, follow the interesting people, don't follow the uninteresting people.

Oh i see, daft analogy imo. You can just use Twitter to hear about things you're interested in. With that attitude you may as well never watch any tv because you don't like soaps, or any films because you don't like Mel Gibson, or any football matches because you don't like the way Stoke play, or go to any gigs because you don't like Metallica.....

the key word in that sentence is of course, Newcastle. I doubt he'd find it so funny if it was the Chelsea manager, for example. Whatever, they're just irrelevant old men looking for attention.

I'll always have a fond place in my heart for him after that cross for Owen against the mackems, cracking header as well btw.

Lord Sugar @Lord_Sugar What a laugh Alan Pardew Newcastle manager rules himself out of England job. Ha ha who was asking? .some people do overestimate themselves

All the french Ben Arfa fans brought that term in iirc.

I'll watch the games, more for the fact that they provide some football to watch during a long summer. And I'd prefer us to win rather than lose, but whereas a Newcastle result will affect my mood for days, I've forgotten an England match before the 'analysis' has started. outside of tournaments, i generally forget theyre even playing alot of the time... Can't watch friendlies like, shittest thing ever.
