  1. Absolutely colossal tonight, hope that's silenced a few dafties who've been talking about 'snapping peoples hands off'. Some people have VERY short memories.
  2. We're not playing Barcelona, and we're at home. Positivity. says the man who posts 'were gonna get smashed' in loads of match threads
  3. he's looked a lot more comfortable in possession and whilst defending, than anyone else who's played at full back for us this season. Didn't someone say we conceded 11 goals when he's played. It was 1-1 before he came on against Liverpool. yeah. and. so. what?

  5. They might be going for the good publicity? doesn't last too long though eh, nowhere near the amount of exposure as having their name on the stadium and it being referred to every week in the media
  6. we didn't control any part of that game. at all. we passed it about once in 90 minutes
  7. I agree with this, the only saving grace is he's been 'saving him' for january, but ultimately it could just be 3 games, I'm positive he could have brought more to the team already this season if given the chance, on the wing for example. He's never been a winger. He was forced to play there at Lyon. He's got no interest in defending either. The full back would get completely merked. was he forced to play on the wing for us last season? he looked pretty good at it either way. it's completely pointless citing supposed lack of defensive work when the alternative is Obertan. try harder

  9. This, I'm annoyed because I feel he's conned us. When he first came in he was humble and went on about winning the fans over but recently cracks have appeared in his interviews, he's lost the modesty and to be honest, I think he's talked too much shit about Ben Arfa. Anyone could see that Ben Arfa (not even match fit) and Santon would improve our starting eleven and yet he's pissed away our points lead by being stubborn, narrow-minded and weak. Credit he deserves for how we performed at the start of the season and thanks also for the way he's communicated with the press a lot. But our football has been shoddy for a long time and if you take Ba out of our side we're fucked. He's made several chances out of nothing and scored goals with great accuracy. He dips in form and we're fucked unless Pardew actively changes this type of football we're playing Ironically Pardew's taking Ba out of our side himself with the way we're playing. Long balls to him he can do nothing with (looks the weakest part of his game) and persistence with two wingers who can't cross. It's ludicrous.
  10. controlled the game against liverpool our entire game plan was lofting it to Ba, who didn't win possession ONCE through it. we played it to him on the deck, via midfield, once....and he had a shot cleared off the line. also that spell of possession was nowhere near 10 minutes, it was literally one phase of passes. Pardew's got us playing cowardly football and he had us playing it at home to WBA, i used to think one of his plus points was honesty when talking about games. It seems, like our football, that's going backwards as well.
  11. Ben Arfa not starting is expected, Pardew's set his stall out on that one. Starting Raylor over Santon would be a worse decision imo, and would just chip away a little bit more at my faith in him.
  12. I don't mind selling him for less than we bought him for as long as it's re-invested in the squad.
  13. sweet, now what we really need is Branson to come to a few games, get the bug and buy the whole lot
  14. Bye then indeed, i imagine one of his ambitions is to play a bit of football as well
  15. Didn't you hear him yelling at our players to 'hit Ba' and 'get it forward' against Liverpool, every time we were in possession. That was confirmation enough for me like, since Norwich the bloke has completely and utterly shit his pants. It seems Steven Taylor was the key to us playing football? Interesting HBA mentions the club matching his ambitions, bye bye.
  16. I'm not shocked anymore by his persistence with Obertan. I'd be genuinely shocked if he chose Santon over Raylor for this, it'd be a complete farce.
  17. I miss Steve Bruce, that's all really.
  18. anyone reckon Cahill will go straight into the Chelsea team? not sure Luiz has been that bad recently?
  19. i've already done my wildcard and it's letting me have unlimited free transfers, just incase anyone's in the same boat
  20. No white text? Nah, genuinely. I think he will be useful in this sort of game. Jesus f***ing wept With it being unlikely that HBA will be played in wide midfield I would rather have him fit to choose from otherwise our 3 options for the two wide positions would be Jonas, Ferguson and Sammy. Are you, or have you recently been, on loads of massive cowies? Are you suggesting those 3 options aren't satisfactory?
  21. Apanthropinization! Halatinous! Antidisestablishmentarianism! Haha, was waiting for someone to do it!
  22. Imagine if Ben Arfa leaves in the summer to get first team football and Obertan's still starting for us next season.
