Looks to me that what the Sunderland team needs is a game plan because the players aren't great? Perhaps one inspirational team talk a week will do.

He hasn't got it all though,he's actually really really bad at dribbling due to lacking close control. This is the reason he can very rarely take anyone on and his attempts to do it involve dancing around the ball rather than actually moving it past the defender and pulling away from them.

This would only involve two signings,one of them apparently already done..... Krul Santon. Taylor. Colo. New LB Guthrie. Tiote. Cabaye Ben Arfa. Maiga Ba

Not for me, Cabaye's in his first season and has performed considerably better against the lesser teams and when he's got Tiote nest to him. For all Guthrie's been great I think Cabaye will be more useful away from home being the extra bit more mobile. That said I wouldn't be too dis-heartened if Guthrie played, he's been great.

If the balls going over Raylor then Sturridge doesn't have to face up to him. He faced up to him absolutely loads,Lovenkrands added nothing to our defensive game,at all.

Remember one of their coaches refusing to put the ball back in play last season (or the one before?) in an important game? All complete wankers to a man.

Just need to hope for Everton to have a disastrous season because if Villa are the other competition we've got nothing to worry about.

He was never going to do that, tbh. And I don't particularly see a problem with that, we've gotten this far with that formation and there was no real indication that would change. I think he made the right call with Loven, he played well and always does his job when asked to support defense. On multiple occasions today Sturridge was up against Raylor and Lovenkrands was absolutely nowhere near.

Complete waste of time and I don't know why so many do it,as soon as I see a list of numbers I scroll straight past.

You don't have to go that far back though to the likes of Allardyce and Souness. The day out might have still been nice but the 90 minutes actually spent watching football was more often than not gut wrenchingly bad.
