  1. @SkyGraemeBailey Graeme Bailey Freiburg, like Sochaux with Maiga, have told Newcastle they dont want to sell Cisse on deadline day http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,16414_7139975,00.html where did it all go wrong?
  2. Too late tomorrow like. saw that coming.
  3. Caulkin said earlier that we'd had a bid for Cisse rejected. Wtf are we doing bidding for him TODAY ffs?
  4. As much as it could go spectacularly wrong, I would love to take a chance on the moody fucker. Like Bellamy and Barton, he's the sort of character that you hate if they play for your opponents but love to have on your side. Obviously no chance of it happening, but would be nice. Howay Ian, you cant hate Ballotelli, he's hilarious.
  5. I genuinely don't know about this, quite possible that he wants to play LB even though he's right footed, no idea. could be wrong but read somewhere that he was a RW who was moved to LB because the team needed one at the time? As i've said i totally accept his position now is left back, but we could improve our team massively with simpson out and two natural sided attacking full backs who are comfortable on the ball. Santon's attacking play is too promising to waste on the 'wrong' side imo
  6. I'm more than willing to accept he's our left back for now but long term I'd look to bring someone else in and move him to the right
  7. You make it sound like we know what we are doing If these deals are anything to go by, you know exactly what you're doing. You run the risk of upsetting some posters Neil. Ashley and Co are c***s and there's no way past that, all these class signings must be some kind of accident or - ah got it.. they'll sell for more. I think you'll struggle to find anyone who is unhappy with the signings we've made. It's the gaping holes in the squad and lack of willing to push the club as far as possible that pisses people off. If we get a striker (and I think we will), not sure where the gaping hole is. i'll start you off, centre half Hardly gaping tbf. You don't think 2 fit CBs is gaping?! So we've had a gaping hole for less than a week then, somebody hit the panic button! Seriously though how many centre backs do we expect to have in a squad of an acceptable quality that will be happy to be just squad players? We've got Coloccini, Williamson, Taylor and Kadar which I think is enough, if the club don't think Kadar is good enough then get rid and get in a replacement but until then he should be given a chance. Not much point of having an academy if we're never going to have faith in them. It'd help if more than two in your list were available like. And alpal, to me it's a soon-to-be gaping hole. Don't think we can expect Taylor and Colo to play every single game and it sounds like Williamson could be out for a while. Quite a problem to me. Taylor's injury record isnt great either, i hope it's improved as much as his form.
  8. yeah i dont think an injured williamson is enough cover really, and i'm a fan of his. back on topic, signing santon's gonna make us considerably better on fifa, which i'm all for.
  9. actually dont think crouch is that bad, but 10m at 30 years old? if that signing goes through they're playing with fire paying crouch, o shea, brown. have they not paid any attention?
  10. You make it sound like we know what we are doing If these deals are anything to go by, you know exactly what you're doing. You run the risk of upsetting some posters Neil. Ashley and Co are cunts and there's no way past that, all these class signings must be some kind of accident or - ah got it.. they'll sell for more. I think you'll struggle to find anyone who is unhappy with the signings we've made. It's the gaping holes in the squad and lack of willing to push the club as far as possible that pisses people off. 'Gaping' holes? Please clarify. I can understand the latter part of your statement but some people seem unable to communicate clearly if you think it is just that which pisses people off. Well we've been extremely lucky to get away with playing Ryan Taylor at left back for four games this season. Starting the season without a single left back on the books is/was a bloody joke. We've had seven months to work out what to do with the Carroll money and bring in strikers that relegate our Championship-esque strikeforce to the bench or out of the squad altogether and aside from Ba (who I firmly believe like Gosling was signed more because he was available on the cheap rather than with a genuine belief he'd fit what we're trying to do) we're still here fucking around with a day to go. We needed a striker adding going into January, and that was before we sold Carroll. We've hardly any right-wing options that aren't square pegs in round holes, and the same goes for centre back cover. As I said, our signings on their own look great, but there's an almost complete lack of consideration for the overall picture IMO. It's very misleading to suggest that 'the negative people' are unhappy with our signings. Nah, you're right. Think I was just looking for an argument. They're pulling off some great deals but they don't seem to have their eye on the bigger picture at all. The striker deal is key for me. If we get Maiga in I'll have been very happy with this window's signings. If not then it will be pretty inexcusable tbh. yep, cant grumble too much if we get someone in up front

  13. look at those fucking trainers, i love him already
  14. it would possibly be an even worse idea given that it'd push sammy and vuckic back
  15. I would, and i think Bendtner's average at best.
  16. If it gets to deadline day, or just before, we will go in for Macheda or loan.
  17. outstanding, which fucking idiot put that clause in his contract
  18. if we have to be in line with the rest of europe in terms of transfer windows, we should start our season at the same time as them. all this shit should be done before the season starts imo, ridiculous how almost every single club does their deals in the last few days.
