  1. Uh huh. The only thing that could make that deal seem sensible would be that if Jol goes, and the director of football gets them to hire a like-minded replacement, he might fancy him and it could all turn out rosey. But at the moment...whoops.
  2. Re: Anderson. This was the comment in the Manchester United Evening News after the Coventry game. "Anderson: Even at this level, the Brazilian continues to disappoint 4/10 " I'd expect far more than what he has delivered so far for £17m. He's never in a million years worth that much. I disagree with that. I think he's an awful midfielder who has absolutely no idea what to do in that position - other than foul people. As a forward I think he's passible at best and IMO wouldn't get in the 16 if Owen, Martins and Viduka are fit. Plus he looks like a peanut.
  3. Darren Bent - £17m spent on a 4th choice striker who can't get a kick, with other glaring holes in the side overlooked. Bizarre on the face of it, but possibly evidence of the failings of the director of football system when the boss signs someone the manager doesnt want. Anderson - Another £17m - made about as much impact as a fart on a landfill. Looks a bit shite. Kieron Dyer - Not including him just cos he's got injured again - that was no-one's fault. Just that they were willing to get swindled out of an extra million or so. And for what. Alan Smith - £6m spent on awful midfielder cum 4th choice striker(?). Another bizarre signing. Possibly more baffling than the Bent eal considering theres no director of football pulling the strings in the transfer market up there. Yakubu - Competent player but looks totally unsuited to the Moyes' ways to the suprise of nobody. David Nugent - £6m. Possibly the worst player on this list that cost any serious amount of moneys...but they don't seem to be affected considering the form of others. Greg Halford - Warning signs were there after the "impact" he made at Reading. Whoops. Gerald Cid - Free transfer, but still....absolutely god awful. Or Someone else - Harewood, Davies, Prince-Boateng...Nani What do you all think.
  4. Do you not think there could have been shout for him to leave it. Maybe. I don't think he could leave it though, it would have bounced in a very dangerous area. He just flapped and fucked it up. OK maybe not leave it, but there was no fucker near him, I don't see why he was panicking so much trying to get it over the bar, it wasn't like anyone was going to nod it in at the back post. Could he have caught it if someone had yelled that he had time?
  5. Best player in the history of MCFC. Possibly. Certainly in my time (I'm 24). I would have previously said Anelka, but I think Elano is a cut above. One thing I really get off on is reading all the match reports is when he gets reffered to as "Brazil midfielder". Not "Brazillian". Brazil. Fucking A.

  7. Watch the pool, spurs game for that. You're gonna win 6-0?
  8. 2-0 Senderos This could end up being distinctly Derbytastic :giggle:
  9. Arsenal 1-0 Sunderland van Persie (7)
  10. Thats no way to talk to a fellow blue!
  11. Elano had a competent goalkeeper between him and the net. Shay's shit don't forget. http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=45676.0 I see.... Better give it Michael Johnson then. You're just showing off now... I can't help it. I've fallen in love with City again.

  14. Fraid so Dave. All goals scored past Paul Robinson should be disqualified from GotM.
  15. Only game that could have been avoidable is the Man City/'Boro. The rest were moved for Europe, TV or police reasons. We were originally down to play Middlesbrough away today, with the home game at the end of the season, but we hadd to swap them round cos of the UEFA Cup final. Then had to move it to Sunday cos of the police.
  16. Meh. Don't really care about all this Barton shite anymore, he's gone. I just think that Jimmy Greaves calling him average and brainless is funneh. PS: We we're going down until we signed Mpenza.
  17. Are Metalist one of these Oligarch outfits...? Or just a run of the mill side? Cos they've been miles better than Everton.
  18. He was a young french lad we had on loan last season. Gone now, page is fucked up. Only played for a couple minutes in a cup game.
  19. I think they're father and son.
  20. 0-3, Beasley has scored, massive pass forward that he runs onto, pulls out of the air and slots in, but the keeper had all the time in the world to beat him to it or close him down. I don't know who this muppet is but he's proper shite.
