  1. I can think of at least one poster who quite enjoyed their defeat yesterday. City fans were singing "We should be at Bramall Lane"
  2. Just like to point out for those watching MotD that the volley Ashton put just over was offside. Not that the London based media would want you to know that. PS: Sven 1, Media 0. :parky:
  3. Huh. Forgot Bellamy was playing.
  4. Eazeh. Played em off the park first half, under more pressure 2nd half but Richards headed everything that came anywhere near him to the half way line. They made a few changes to be more positive but they just opened up at the back as a result and we killed em. Great skills from Onuoha to set up Geovanni....boom 2-0. Could have been 3 in injury time, good save from Green. Ended 8-2 to City in shots on target...bossed it really. I am happy tonight. COYB.
  5. Watching this, we're absolutely murdering them so far. Beautiful football. Great touches from everyone but Elano...jeebus...the guy has got class dripping out of his eyeballs, McCartney can't get near him. What a fucking player. I'm delighted with this, even if they don't get the result today the potential of this side is there for all to see. Cut above West Ham.
  6. 6 players making their debut for City today.

    Diego 'rumour'

There was a rumour a little while back that City we're trying to buy him, but he wasn't interested in leaving Werder Bremen. Planning to take his pick of the top clubs in a year I think.
  8. http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/494/clipboard01wy4.png Got enough left to buy Drogba as soon as he's fit. Gonna win da leeg. Without any fucking rags.
  9. Mark Bresciano's move to City collapses. Apparently. Palermo saying we tried to pay them installments and they're not having it. More likely they're trying a Chiellini and putting the price up - £5.4m now...way more than it was originally reported to be. Having read what I have about this guy, I must say, I'm absolutely gutted. Manuel Fernandes to sign by Friday. According to Gary Owen on our version of Legends. According to someone who listens to it.
  10. Cassano eh... Here is where one spanish website thinks he is going... Link http://www.passionmonkey.com/bookpages/wouldnttouchitwithabargepoleth.jpg
  11. Southampton reject Derby's £5m bid for Kenwyne Jones because it "very substantially undervalues his ability and potential as a Premiership-quality striker in-the-making." http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=8826 Jones has scored 18 goals in 70 games for Southampton. And they wonder why Sven shops abroad.
  12. No. So would I. But only if instead of giving him a signing on fee, you give him a board with a nail in it. We've missed the boat on that one I think. "Set to bid", meh, he's signing for Villa/Sunderland imminently. More likely we'll end up with Livorno's Marco Amelia.
  13. Fancy a bargain? 5Live report City have put 9 players on the transfer list - 3 of them can go for nowt. SSN report Danny Mills, Ousmane Dabo, and Paul Dickov go. I'd assume these are the 3 freebies. And...Georgios Samaras, Ishmael Miller, and Darius Vassell also named. Didn't hear the report personally but I would guess that the other 3 are Matt Mills, Dietmar Hamann, and Kasper Schmiechel. EDIT: Manchester Evening News report this now too. 9th player is not Hamann (!!?!??!? He's fucking wank.) but reserve teamer Mark Laird http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/manchester_city/s/1012/1012985_city_clearout.html
  14. Nine fucking million tho. I can only think of 1 goalie who has ever gone for more than that.
  15. Looky here...this makes it 4 goalkeepers we're buying this week. Scott Carson, Carlo Cudicini, Marco Amelia and... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/h/heart_of_midlothian/6932931.stm No thanks. edit: Just had a wee look at the SMB to see their reaction...apparently the BBC radio team covering a Hearts Match say we've had a bid accepted.
  16. They signed Luke Varney from Crewe, Chris Iwelumo from Colchester and Todorov from fuck-knows-where. Wigan I think. Got a couple of City rejects in too, they'll be up there. Still got Andy Reid, Marcus Bent, Darren Ambrose...should do alright at that level.
  17. Here is what some of my fellow blues think is ahead:
  18. We were awesome that night. Best performance of the season. Never mind looking like Brazil 1970, I think we could have beaten them on that form. Can only imagine that this bid was either (a) Fictional, or (b), Far too low. 2nd point, I don't think Samaras is that bad. The lad has some ability, but he's a shadow of the player he was when he first arrived. No confidence, no service, played out of position, crowd on his back...etc. Bit of a Hugo Viana. I hope Sven sticks by him, I think there is a good player in there somewhere. I'd rather he stayed than Corradi or Dickov. Unlike Hugo he's got the physique to handle the EPL. He could come good, unless you got your money back i'd keep him. He's only about 23 isn't he? Plenty of time left to get a decent player out of him, as i think when he peaks he could be a right force in the right hands. Remember seeing a replay of one of his first games a little while back (Charlton 3-2), he was charging around like a bull, absolutely mental. Couldn't belive it was the same guy who spent most of last season mincing around like a complete woofter. Got a bit of a Heskey complex I think...doesn't realise how big he is. Mentally shrunk about 6 inches after Liam Ridgwell kicked him in the back. I hope we can get him playing again - but I'm not particuarly confident. Don't think he wants it enough. Still, he's got more ability in his toenails than Dickov and Corradi have between them. I live in hope. He's 22 btw.

  20. Manchester City are 4/6 to finish above Sunderland at Coral.
  21. http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/8004/1018117726c3c5f4ada0mx9.jpg Mark Bresciano spotted at CoMS yesterday. Anyone know much about him...? Is he any good? He's rather ominously been referred to as the "Australian Sibierski" by one not-too-impressed Aussie City fan.
