  1. I just seen it...match delayed for 30 mins due to the amount of water on the surface... Have they named the teams tho? I'm confused as to wether or not Elano is available for this one as he got sent off in a friendly...
  2. I've missed the start of Brazil here...technical difficulties or a delay? Is Elano playing?
  3. Manchester City 1-1 Newcastle 30/11/1994 Coca Cola Cup 4th round Goalscorers Uwe Rosler and Mike Jeffrey() We won the replay at SJP 2-0 with goals from Rosler and Paul Walsh which was one of our best results of that period.
  4. That Riquelme fella can't half hit a dead ball. Two brilliant free kick goals. Proper ball on a string stuff. Not played in months, absolutely made absolute no difference to his performance. Strolled thru the game as usual. Wonder how good he could have been if he was a bit fitter...he can't run for shit! Marcelo Salas played too. I didn't know he was still going. Only 32! He seems to have been around forever.
  5. Answer is still Mrs Zambrotta. http://sportsbybrooks.com/valentinaliguori3.jpg

  7. Elano had a competent goalkeeper between him and the net. Shay's shit don't forget. http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=45676.0 I see.... Better give it Michael Johnson then. I am win. Only cos Shearer chose the winner. The biased coont!
  8. Yep because he needed to build a squad and quickly. He's done that, and now needs to add some finishing touches, Owen being that. If you keep him fit you'd be right amongst the big boys for the rest of the season and seasons to follow, £15m would seem like a bargain. Lot of IFS though. Only the one if...and I think its too big an if for £15m. Still feel Sven would think he could get someone better (Or someone who could string a few games together) for that much money. Probably someone I've never heard of. Just can't see it. If the fee was lower tho, who knows. If the story is true. If we wants to sell him. If he wants to leave. If you are ready to pay £15m. If Taskin is ready to fork out that kind of money. If he stays fit. If Citeh maintain form. What i meant by a lot of IFS, biggest one being keeping him fit, and the IF is the reason i'd happily take anything north of £10m for him. Its a shame as moments like against everton you remember who he was and still could be, but its just never going to happen, not here it isn't, a move would be best for everyone. OK, I'll let you off. That is quite a few Ifs. Altho I think two of them are the same £10m, I think is pretty reasonable. I would take him for that, but the medical would have to be rediculously stringent.

  10. I would take Owen. Wouldn't be my first choice but he's class. But never for £15m. I doubt Sven would either. He's on record saying he went abroad cos English players are overpriced, and he doubts very much if the media have the slightest idea who he's going to move for. I doubt there is much truth in this...I'd file this story in the Ronaldinho to Chelsea for £100m locker...
  11. Manchester City's most famous fan is still Curly Watts. Manchester United's most famous fan is still irish.
  12. Global warming devastates British coastline. - Liverpool adopt new anthem. "You'll never swim alone" Michael Owen is still playing for England. Cryogenics and all that. Gary Neville still not grown a moustache. Closest he comes is when a worm crawls across his rotting corpse. :giggle: Joey Barton due up for Parole any year now. Robots have replaced match officials. Still fuckin bent at the Swamp. AC Milan relegated to Serie Z. Losing streak comes to end when sharp-witted manager Stuart Pearce Jr comes to the conclusion that 134 year old keeper Dida probably isn't faking it. John Motson still does the commentary for the BBC. Even tho he's dead. Ratings soar. Pronounciation of Drogbar also much better.
  13. Ya..sorry...I just think Joey Barton is a collosal f****** c***. why? this time last season he wouldve been your favourite player and an excellent footballer, now he smacked some wanker tormenting him and wanted to leave city to join us and have a better career? you hate him for that? Do you know why Newcastle paid £5.8m for a player with a £5.5m release clause in his contract? I do. I'll leave it at that. No need for me to carry on slagging him off on here.
  14. Ya..sorry...I just think Joey Barton is a collosal fucking cunt.
  15. Sorry mate, but if that isn't directed at Michael Owen, I'm Hilary Clinton. And this is only the beginning. You already know how it ends.
  16. I wouldn't hold my breath tbh Joey... I bet they're all sat round the breakfast table now discussing what an utter fucking cunt he is. 1 cap wonder forevermore. And while some of you might be thinking how great it is that he's made a snidey dig at England's Michael Owen (The I want to win trophies bit is irrelevant chestbeating), I can't help but think its not going to go down well in the dressing room. Probably cut the atmosphere with a knife the next time Owen and Barton meet. Not a good thing...I think you need a solid team spirit. Big Chief Running Gob already on the way to ruining yours.
  17. Does anyone know how many Leeds fans have gone to the game?
  18. Top Bloke. Ya well. He's a good player. But I refuse to let "I'm glad I didn't sign for City" quotes go without a sly dig.
  19. How about Daniel Carvalho. He's a good player isn't he. And I bet he would come. There was an interview with Elano the other day and he was basically saying that - minus 23 degrees, food shite, never left the hotel, was only there for the money, would have signed for anyone to get away. I bet its a similar story for most brazillians out in that part of the world. I don't think you need European football to get these guys. Just a bit of money. Most of them would crawl over broken glass to play in the premiership.
  20. I'm hoping for Kaka in January myself. You don't think Arteta would sign for a club higher than you in the table and with a lot more money? If Arteta was to leave Everton it would be to a club in (a) Spain or (b) the Champions League. In search of international recognition - if he wants it. Still got no caps...and Albert Riera got a called up this week. Couldn't lace Arteta's boots...but hey, he plays for Espanyol.
  21. He just signed a new contract. :-[
