Based on what, are they going to change the pay day players they sign and the ethos of that ramshackle pit of a club (mind there are sure to be a new crim or two about to help them), remember they will not have the drive to better us...their only reason for existence I just think some people are a good fit for certain clubs. Big Sam at Bolton for example. I can see him being that kind of fit for the mackems. Bear in mind expectations are to finish above the Mags ftm well durgh and having relegated us and kept them up, well he's the f***ing daddy over in mackem land. I can see them going down as they won't be up for it as much as if they were playing against us. Over the last 5 seasons or so one of the derbies has always fell towards the end of the season which has always given them a boost. Without us will that boost be there, would a Boro game be enough of a boost? For those reasons I can see them going down, FS is another in the long line of s*** managers hey have had and I doubt they will invest well. On the other hand there are going to be some s*** teams in the league next season, Burnley won't be good enough I don't think, Boro the same (and their bottling mentality will also cause them problems). Hull are a typical yoyo team, and Sheff Wednesday will likely be on to a hiding week in and week out if they go up. So for those reasons it's quite possible that they could still not be s*** enough to go down. So in reality I can see more of the same for Sunderland next season, maybe they will eventually cross the relegation line. As for us, we'll I have full faith in Rafa, I would expect him to build a squad good enough for promotion, and we arguably already have that squad. I don't know about this, would expect at least 1 of the promoted teams to perform above expectations and I can't see the makems being any better than they are season in/season out, so another struggle beckons for them......passing them in a years time would send them off the edge (well the ones who aren't already) Anyway as has been said Championship with Rafa or Prem with SMc......no contest, we have the chance to rebuild and come back a lot stronger

They're all backward man! Bit harsh on people who are a bit backward that! I hang out in my local football club here, supporters of a shed load of different teams and they are rapt for us that we kept Rafa and reckon we are dead certs to come back up (I'm a tad more reserved about it) and reckon we will be waving at the Makems as we pass them on the way...that would be glorious btw Also the EPL isn't technically the best but is by far and away the best marketed, only got to look around the numerous clubs I go to to see the kids wearing shirts of clubs that their family have no allegiance to....only surpassed by one team and that's Barca (even my young lad has the shirt...amongst his various sizes of Newcastle tops)

So we went down..... and kept one of the top 5 managers in the world went undefeated in the last 6 games we played spanked a Champions League team 5-1 and we shouldn't be confident of coming back up.....makem logic......sheesh!
