He has a lot of developing to do, and to an extent I think he's actually regressed in some ways since that Champions League season. My biggest concern with him is that every pass is side to side or backwards, neat and tidy but he seems to have absolutely no desire to take a risk or impose himself on the game. That may come with age, but a lot of the time that mentality is something a player either has or doesn't have. Ideally needs a loan to the championship or lower PL to get a run in a side and build some confidence.

Hitting the first man from a corner should genuinely be a yellow card

Up front?

Osula looks weak as piss for such a big lad
-
Aye, where were these crunching challenges the last two seasons for us?
-
Murphy has played at fullback a number of times for us though? If Osula is on the bench when we're down three strikers, then he should be nowhere near the squad this season.
-
Also surely not though? Elanga ahead of Osula would be an awful decision IMO. He isn't remotely a striker and Osula just scored a goal on Monday.
-
Botman and Ramsey would make sense. Murphy at fullback maybe if Trippier is out and Hall isn't 100% yet?
-
I'd imagine the registration involves external parties too, so in all likelihood the club will have rushed it through and did their part, it's whether those external parties did theirs in time.

The fact that it came out of nowhere and completely put all of the In The Knows in the bin, adds +1000 to excitement. Don't even care if he's any good.

Aye, yet another talentless Premier League clogger, classic Eddie
-
Anybody quipped about him having a higher ceiling than him yet?

Scored 99 goals in 2 appearances in his spell at Bremen, according to his Wikipedia. Seems like he had a disappointing campaign last season for Stuttgart, always a worry buying a player when they're on a downward trajectory.
-
He is the Isak replacement if I had to guess. SL/Wissa were the Wilson replacement.
-
Class draw that man you cowards, anything less than 24 points and we might as well fold the club.

"Sources in Germany" immediately smells like bullshit.

I fail to see how even the most optimistic of fans can think that the window is a success if we end it with our only senior striker being a bloke who currently doesn't want to play for us under any circumstances. It's already a failure that we started the season that way. Doesn't matter how hard the club have tried to rectify it, failing to do so makes it an objectively bad window.
-
Depends how long the list is, as mentioned. I'd imagine the players who suit the criteria I mentioned are absolute barrel-scrapings at this point.
-
No doubt we'll keep plugging away, but the problem we're eventually going to hit is that even the statement "at least they're a better option than Gordon and Osula" eventually becomes untrue, the lower down our list we get. I'd imagine we're not too far from that point now, from the list of players we're interested in, who are interested in us, who are also available for sale.

Hard to blame Wolves, just like Brentford. How much is risking relegation worth? That's the only amount of money that gets them talking at this stage.

And may score 0 goals. We've learnt first hand before that good strikers from abroad don't necessarily translate to good premier league strikers. We would benefit from buying someone who is proven at premier league level on this occasion.
