He's more proven than Sesko and Gyokeres at this level, yet people would've happily spunked the same money for them because they weren't playing for Wolves. Seen Vlahovic mentioned as a better option, I'd love to know the rationale as he's dropped way off from what I've seen of him. 14 premier league goals in a shite team, unfortunately just comes at a premium nowadays. Add on the fact that we're desperate. Add on the fact that there's no time for the selling club to replace him. There is no value to be found in any striker for us at this stage without taking a monumental gamble on their suitability. £60-70m is not overpaying if he scores enough goals to get us back into Europe next season, or to kick us through to the knockout phases of the CL.

We were a completely different team when Wood was here though, we rarely dominated and controlled games, and made far less chances than we do now, especially from crosses.

Genuinely don't think we should be looking at Isak's profile when signing a new striker tbh. Isak was effective for us in spite of his profile, not as a result of it, in my opinion. He often struggles (struggled?) to get into games in our system, he just has the ability to deliver critical moments regardless.
-
Slot was gracious in defeat and victory last season against us, in games where we played worse. Clearly that has changed due to the Isak scenario.
-
I'd take his dad at this point.
-
Chelsea would absolutely bleed us dry for Jackson, we're in direct competition with them.
-
Agreed. If he's the one we've settled on, then just get it done. Paying an extra £20m isn't going to hinder us THAT much in the long-term. Certainly not as much as continuing this season with no striker will.

Red Cam was nearly it for me last night like. Nowt like a Simon Hooper waddle to give you motion sickness, fucking shite idea.
-
We'll get rinsed for anyone at this stage, even clubs abroad will know we're desperate.
-
I think he'd be a good signing for us personally. Not an "exciting" name, but a player that could really benefit from some of the delivery we get into the box. 14 goals in a shite Wolves team isn't too shabby.

It wasn't great but the bigger issue was that we got overloaded 5 vs 4, Elanga was pretty slow tracking back too upon watching the replay - perhaps understandable given the work he put in. Plenty of fingers could be pointed but ultimately the goal happens because we're down to 10 men and we've had to play 105 minutes+ of football.
-
Some of his crosses were absolutely superb. The issue is his international teammate who has left him with nothing to hit.
-
When he plays like that he's the best midfielder in the league outside of Rodri. The best player on the pitch by an absolute mile.
-
With the way the game went, Botman would've probably lost a leg
-
Willock but in control of his feet
-
No other team in the league batters them like that with 10 men. It's a shame it counts for nothing because of that Swedish cunt letting the entire squad down
-
Elanga and Ramsey are going to be superb signings.
-
The pace at which he went into that foul was almost the polar opposite of Gordon, literally Father Ted five-a-side stuff.
-
Schar Head Injury Mode activated, 40 yard worldie incoming

We are much better than these cunts all across the pitch, if only we had a world class striker on our books eh.

Never thought I'd see a goal again

Two months is generous. We knew Wilson was finished at the start of 2024.
