He's the absolute definition of "raw", but there's definitely something there. Not convinced he'll ever be a prolific goal scorer, but I think he could become decent in that wider role.

Felt like one of those where you normally scream for a goal and the tech shows it wasn't all over the line. Will take it though.

@Willow edit my thread titles again and I'll demote you to Tickets & Travel forum moderator

He's looked it for 12 months like. Let's not rewrite history, Jesus.

The setup tonight was excellent. I doubt many people thought that lineup would have complete control against Partey, Rice and Odegaard, especially when we saw that Hall was starting at left back and not in the centre... but with Schar pushing up to support the midfield, we absolutely bossed it. Great stuff.

Brilliant stuff. Do we stick with that system going forward? Thought we had a really good balance throughout and far more control than usual.

Soz Tripps

Two more goals and I can start to feel comfortable I reckon
-
One more half like that and I will publicly apologise for this post.
-
So far so good, more of the same in the second half hopefully
-
Trippier is there because his arse doesn't cave in on the ball when we're under pressure, unlike Tino at times this season His pace is a concern though for sure.
-
I suspect Wilson is there in case it looks like it's going to pens tbh

Red = forum legends Orange = don't understand PSR Yellow = smell like piss

While you're right, it seems like the club have previously briefed journalists early to temper fan expectations for the next window. So I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't too far from the truth.

We also signed no one in the January prior to our 1955 FA Cup win, seems promising
-
Aye, that was my point.
-
It was a weakness aye. However, he was a top keeper in spite of it, is more my point.
-
Tbf back in the day I had fans around me who used to slate Shay Given for the same thing. Football fans in general aren't very good at judging goalkeepers.
-
Would be a terrible decision given how well the other two have played against Arsenal in the previous two fixtures this season.
-
I think it's easier for a club like Bournemouth to go and do that though. Same with Brighton a few seasons back. The stakes aren't as high if risky signings go wrong.
-
Alternatively, it may have been to signal to Juventus that we didn't need to sell and he still had a part to play, if their bid didn't match our value.

If Howe thought differently he'd be staying Anyway, my comment was based entirely on his performances that we have seen, hence "in terms of impact on the pitch".
