Big Sam is a better manager than Roeder, so I would take him. But I have doubts if he is able to produce sustained top class results (Ferguson, Benitez, Wenger, Mourinho) even if he is given huge transfer money to spend.

I am against the abusive booing of a player, or any person who harbours no malicious intent, be it within or outside matchday. When you say sub-par performance, what are you comparing it against? If you think Parker is a very average player, an opinion you are perferctly entitled to though I disagree, how could he have put up sub par performance when he is playing averagely?

Physical abuse? f****** grow up. You are the one who should grow up. You wrote the bold bit yourself. What should we do, then? How do we get across fans displeasure at, say an utterly, utterly inept and s*** performance? How do we let the players/management/board know that we are not happy to accept s****? What's your answer? Boo the manager. Boo the chairman. They are the people in charge, especially the latter who has misled fans and treat fans with contempt for years. And I don't think that booing is "needless abuse", its a way of getting across displeasure, but not during the actual game. What has Parker done to warrant your abuse? Simply being an average footballer? It is needless to boo a player simply because he is very average. It is needless to boo an average player who has given his best in abusive manner. It is hence a needless abuse to boo an average player abusively.

So the fans are entitled to abuse Parker, simply because he is not a good enough footballer? If you want to abuse a player, what's the difference between abusing him during the game and only during half time or aftermath?

And this warrants Parker those abusive boohs? If we should boo a very average football player why don't we boo Edgar, Huntington, Gooch, Harper, Babayaro, Taylor, Bramble, Moore, Carr, Milner, Butt, Duff and Sibierski?

What do people think about Brown last night? I thought he was poor and responsible (directly/indirectly) but it seems like quite think otherwise.

Any improvement over our current players are welcome, but certainly there are other priorities than CM, such as LB, RB, CB, and FW.

At the time of writing (before Le Guen was sacked) didn't think Hiddink, Koeman and Magath would become available. Magath would be ideal now since he is free and he apparently wants to try his luck here. I am and was sceptic over Koeman but he is doing well, definitely a better manager than Roeder.

Can't speak for other posters but I wanted Some info is outdated and I have slightly modified opinions now but by and large I would love to have anyone of the excellent and decent candidates over Glenn Roeder. Wouldn't mind any of Roy Keane either.

Apart from Shearer, who has never managed a team, Bruce, who is managing a Championship team, Le Guen who had only half a year in Rangers, and Sven who is currently unemployed, none has done worse than Roeder. Your post is void!
