Haha...they probably heard that Kevin Nolan's favourite food is that chocolate money that looks like medals and that, and decided to limit them so he won't eat them all. HA HA HA HA...
-
Don't worry man, the tickets should be sent out to you 72 hours before the game. As long as you keep the recepit you should be fine even to march into the box office and collect replacements before the match, I'd have thought? I will rip off Llambias's head if they fuck up my ticket for this one.
-
Yes, you are the only one who hasn't had his tickets sent out, because they've resold yours to other people due to being overbooked. Blame Derek.

I've heard that they've already informed Nolan that there won't be any chocolate inside of the gold shiney medal. Won't stop him trying to eat them though. Best inform him there's no chocolate inside pronto. Huh? But...

Any one else think this would make a good banner ? Ofcourse if you take away the true faith bit. Cracking banner...if you want to get the Guardianistas like Wor Louise chuntering on about how the Geordie Nation is populated by racists who are likening Hughton to Obama "just because he iz black, innit". christ i wouldnt put it past her to try it You know she would leap on it. Mind you, last thing we should be doing is puffing him up as some sort of hero worship like we had with certain people being called the next Geordie Messiah...media/PR own goal just waiting there.

Reading this thread, I wonder if there was the same sort of debate about other up and coming managers at other clubs, and how many times potentially great managers have been tossed aside in favour of more "established" names...sometimes you need to take a gamble, e.g. Everton with Moyes, Sunderland with Keane etc... I'm not minded to replace him with someone like Mark Hughes.

Awful news, doesn't matter who it is, it's still sickening to hear that certain knuckle-dragging Mackems think it's big or clever to wish ill on someone because of his association with our club. I hope his remaining time with us is as comfortable as possibly can be given the circumstances; as others have said we still have a great debt of gratitude to the man, and some of us still have a great deal of affection for the good that he did for the club, regardless of what has happened since he sold up. None of that is/was his doing....that stuff is all down to Ashley.

Don't understand your logic regarding signing on a free. Chamakh is likely to sign on a free with Arsenal does that make him crap? Or does it mean he should therefore only be sold on the cheap in future? I think it's more to do with the fact we bought a player for 8m, because they'd only just signed for another team. And that very same player was targeted to be bought by SBR when he went on a free to Rangers. Nothing to do with the player's quality, just the scenario, and then how poor his quality was. Nothing to do with the relationship between Souness and David Murray of course *cough* Willie McKay *cough*

Hughton's earned his place at the top, I reckon. I've become increasingly impressed with him as a manager, especially since January, and I think he comes across well on TV, he clearly has the trust and confidence of the board and the dressing room, and has led us back to the Premiership in what has undoubtedly been difficult and challenging circumstances. I'm impressed not only with what he's achieved, but also the way he's done it. It would be unfair and irresponsible of Ashley not to let Hughton continue to manage us next year. Continuity and stability will be key for us next season - ripping it up and starting again would be playing Russian roulette with our newly regained Premiership status. So long as he is given the necessary backing in the transfer market, I'm confident he can get us a comfortable mid-table finish next year, and we can build from there.

The return of the likes of Role Model to this forum...

Share the sentiment! Let's hope they remember to dedicate the Championship win (fingers crossed) to Sir Bobby.

Yes we have. We've won a place in the Premier League. That's a major fucking achievement and one many of us didn't think possible back in July.
-
You can be whatever you want to be. I'm going for a bit of both, tbh. I think the team spirit is the biggest win for us this season. I hope we can build on that and retain that next season.
