  1. father ted racist One of my favourites too.
  2. Papers have picked it up as well. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2078003/Stan-Collymore-Twitter-fan-asks-When-going-hang-like-Gary-Speed-negrito.html I would imagine that questions would have been asked in Parliament had they not been on their Xmas holidays. Hopefully it gets picked up properly in the new year.
  3. I think Simon Bird's analysis is pretty fair and on the money as far as I'm concerned, although I don't think it quite manages to convey the reality of how it feels to be sat in that great stadium of ours these days, with everything pasted in the cheap, tacky colours of SportsDirect.com. They even flashed up their grimy little insignia during the 11th minute tribute to Gary Speed last weekend. They may have managed to turn the club around in terms of its finances and to some degree the club's relatively good start to the season, but the fact remains that Ashley & Co have no idea what this club means to its fans. And worse, Ashley & Co have no soul.
  4. Sounded like Evra baited Suarez a bit. Probably knew he'd get a bite and then Suarez would get into shit for it. Evra is a super troll.
  5. 8 weeks. JUSTICE FOR THE 56 DAYS! Mind you, you have to hand it to the FA. They're not letting the Scousers push this wall over.
  6. Precisely because he really is inviting offers, mate...
  7. See Shearer's in the frame for the Blackburn job according to the Daily Fail http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2075919/Alan-Shearer-favourite-Blackburn-prepare-sack-Steve-Kean.html Not the first person you'd think of for the job of saving a team from relegation...
  8. Wouldn't it be amazing if David Villa played for Aston Villa, Antonio Valencia played for Valencia, and Danny Shittu played for Sunderland...

    Sunderland...

No smoke without fires.............. seriously tho, wtf is that about? Just a bunch of drunken mongs thinking they were being funny, tbh. I wanted to give them a slap.

    Sunderland...

Stood at the bar at the Gallowgate end at half-time yesterday I was just next to a bunch of thick, drunken retards chanting "Martin O'Neill, sleeps with kids". Clever boys. Really inspired stuff, because bandying allegations around like that is going to help matters. Just cringeworthy, and totally irrelevant when we were playing Swansea, ffs.
  11. Not sure I follow? He looked less convincing and less committed today as far as I was concerned. Almost like he knows something we don't...
  12. Best point of the match for me was the lad next to me piping up with "Demba is the black Pele, like."

    Classy

Was just tidying up my old Facebook posts earlier. Stumbled over this one from The Daily Mash, and thought it worth sharing again since it was from 2009. http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/sport/sport-headlines/newcastle-to-rename-stadium-every-30-seconds-200911052203/
  14. I used Chrome for my browser and when I go to view the members list it comes up with a pop-up saying "This page is in Indonesian. Would you like to translate it?" Weird.
  15. There's no guarantee of that, and if we hadn't sold him we wouldn't have signed Demba Ba, Cabaye, Marvaux, Obertan or Santon.

    Fraser Forster

Forster wants next move to last after fifth loan of career Published on 3 Dec 2011 Richard Wilson and Jamie Kempton http://www.heraldscotland.com:80/mobile/sport/spl/celtic/forster-wants-next-move-to-last-after-fifth-loan-of-career-1.1137935 Fraser Forster is playing for his future at Celtic Park, and the goalkeeper wants his next move to be a permanent one. In the midst of the fifth loan spell of his career, he believes that he needs to sign a long-term deal to allow him the opportunity to progress. The 23-year-old is in his second spell at Celtic Park, having spent last season on loan from Newcastle United, who had previously sent him to Stockport County, Bristol Rovers and Norwich City on temporary moves. With Tim Krul established as the first-choice goalkeeper at St James’ Park, Forster’s future looks to be away from Newcastle. Celtic, who had a £1.5m bid for Forster rejected last summer, have the option to turn his loan deal into a permanent contract. Neil Lennon admires the player, who kept 24 clean sheets last season, while still showing inexperience and a reluctance to use his 6ft 7in frame to be physically imposing in the penalty area. “I don’t know what’s going on,” Forster says. “[Celtic] is a massive club and the fans are brilliant. It would be a great move. It’s good to be playing under a bit of pressure. I just need to stop getting loan deals. That’s three on the bounce and I need to settle down and find somewhere to call home. It’s important that I perform well and we’ll get to that. “[Celtic Park] does a bit [feel like a home], but I don’t think the door’s ever closed anywhere, so it’s important that I find somewhere where I’m settled and enjoy being. I enjoy it here and we’ll just see what happens. I’ll take the title medal first.” Born in the north east and a lifelong Newcastle fan, Forster retains a deep affection for the club. While convinced that Scott Brown would succeed in the Barclays Premier League, the goalkeeper is hopeful that the Celtic captain, out of contract at the end of the season, does not sign a Bosman deal with Newcastle, or any other suitor. “It’s very important [brown stays], he’s a massive player for the club and in the dressing room,” Forster says. “If we can get him signed up, that would be a massive boost. He’d do a fantastic job wherever he goes. He’s a terrific leader and professional, but I’m hoping he stays here.” Dylan McGeouch has spent the past week watching the goal that made his name last weekend. The 18-year-old dribbled from one penalty box to another before scoring the last goal in Celtic’s 5-0 win over St Mirren, but insists he is wary of the praise that has come his way. “I’ve watched it back a good few times,” he says. “I still don’t believe it. I wasn’t really thinking at the time, then I blanked out when I scored and didn’t really know how to celebrate. “I’d have got a bit of stick if it hadn’t gone in, but it’s been crazy ever since. “It’s important that you don’t start believing all of the hype, however. It can affect your showing on the park and make you slack. I’m just going to keep working hard.”
  17. Isn't that where he used to play for Rangers though?
