  1. Well you may as well trot along and spit in Speedo's wife's face then. If it's what his family have asked for then so be it. I think it's quite a touching and classy tribute.
  2. Still can't fathom it and not coming to terms with it at all. Listened to the 606 tribute (podcast of Sunday night's broadcast) in the car today. It was raining cats and dogs outside and I could probably have done with windscreen wipers for my eyes as I listened. Anyway, this article includes a few details I wasn't aware of. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/nov/29/gary-speed-inquest-not-suspicious I'm still perplexed how it can be said there were no suspicious circumstances. It seems to me inherently suspicious that he should suddenly decide to kill himself. But then we're just going over what is now fast becoming old ground, so I'll leave it there.
  3. Irresponsible from Kamara that, how does that help the situation in anyway. He's in grief as well, like...everyone is all over the place about this. You have to make some allowances...I guess?
  4. That's The Sun finished if true. New corp, it's time it all ended. Rupert Murdoch, how much blood on your hands do you want? it's more than just that, it's the populace that craves the shitey celeb scandal and tittle tattle, if the population didn't want it they wouldn't have a market to sell it to. I don't read the front pages of papers for that very reason. I can't stand this culture where everyone needs to know the ins and outs of celebrities private lives and how celebrities and such are what everyone looks up to. From the media who expose scandals and tap phones for stories too the magazines who buy the rights to wedding photos of celebrities who have hooked up for the money too the forced fed celebrity "reality" factor TV crap. It's all fucking wrong. And yet, you come running straight into this thread to repeat the gossip? WTF?
  5. http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/2421/garyspeed016.jpg Look at the regal deportment of the man. Such a shining star. I'd genuinely held tentative hopes that one day, having proved his management mettle, he'd manage at SJP.
  6. Best i can find http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Welsh-Football-legend-Gary-Speed-Black-T-Shirt-Supporting-Ty-Hafan-/320802439512?pt=UK_Men_s_T_Shirts&hash=item4ab150c158 Presumably they listed that today... Pretty crass. How can you tell it was listed today? Looks like a legitimate children's charity behind it as well?
  7. Alan Shearer, who played alongside Speed at Newcastle for six years between 1998 and 2004, said: "Gary was a magnificent person, bright, fun and a wonderful family man - he lit up every room he walked into. I am proud to have been his friend and will miss him dreadfully." http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-15911321
  8. CHRONICLE chief sports writer Lee Ryder has paid tribute to Gary Speed following the news of the Wales manager's death at his home in Cheshire. In the video below, Lee talks about his memories of the former Newcastle United midfielder's career at the Toon. He also reflects on the legacy that Gary Speed will leave to football. 11. Not that it matters to others here, but I do feel that the thread title should just be "RIP Gary Speed 1968-2011" and no more. It's a tragedy whichever way he died. No need to have the "takes his own life" in there at all, in my humble opinion.
  12. His body was found at his home? Would his family be there or would it be a scene of investigation? Wouldn't surprise me if the family never return, i know i wouldn't. (but get your point; vultures) Yeah, I hadn't really thought that one through, but regardless if whether the family are there or not, it's still stomach-churningly sickening.
  13. Having asked to be left alone, the family house is now surrounded by paparazzi. Cunts.
  14. Robbie Savage talking about Gary Speed http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15911088.stm
  15. I'm quite angry that our fucking club hasn't made any sort of announcement on the website.
  16. Sweet Christ, tell me this isn't true. :( I just turned over to Sky Sports and saw Souness giving his tribute there. Do we know for sure it was suicide?
  17. He's gone in the January window then, there was an inevitability about it from the start of the season (if not before!) My money's on Chelsea getting him.

    St James' Park

Blatantly going to end up being sponsored by Jacamo.
  19. Hard to say without the full facts, but from what I've read there were various taunts from either side, then when their third went in someone from our side lobbed a banger into their section. They responded by throwing coins etc, we responded by throwing seats. Fucksakes, man.

    St James' Park

This is what Ashley & Llambias love the most. Seeing diehard fans get their knickers in a twist. They will be dining out on this for weeks.
