Vindictive bastards.
-
Have we been linked with Skjellbred much yet?
-
Nottingham Forest want McLaren. Sad though it is, since I like the man, but I fear that says everything we need to know about how Chris Hughton's reputation is viewed in the broader game. If the team we beat to promotion doesn't want him, who will?
-
A 1 in 2 goalscoring record? Really? Doesn't like a 1 in 2 goalscoring record. Looks like 1 in 3 for club and 1 in 10 for country. Either way, how does that compare with what we've currently got at the club? Better or worse? That's surely the marker of whether he'd be a good signing?
-
Not worth it. I'd go for a sensible £2m bid and loan him back out to Hartlepool.
-
Has had several assault charges and currently on trial for rape, doesn't seem ideal. Not like we've got a track record of signing notorious bad boys here though, is it?
-
And as such would fit in well alongside Lovenkrands, Ryan Taylor, Nile Ranger, James Perch, Mike Williamson, Danny Guthrie.......

Patrik Loko! Used to love Weah in his prime. What a player. Patrice Loko, tbh....not that it matters.
-
David Goodwillie at Dundee United, perhaps?
-
Maybe it's got something to do with living in the shadow of their neighbouring team the past three decades? Must be fucking annoying having those twats rubbing it in all the time.
-
If he went to Everton or Villa or anyone like that I doubt we would see the same responses on here. I would hope so anyway because none of 'us' clubs have enough of an advantage over each other to be shocked that a player would go for one of the others. Do we? That may be more because we've had our superiority complex knocked out of us over the past few years?
-
Why not? If we could get Alan Smith to go in the opposite direction as part of the deal, it would be sweet. He's an accident waiting to happen, especially in a league that isn't total shite. I think you're being a bit unfair and a bit prejudicial towards him - the SPL may well not be of a consistently high standard but Bougherra is a more than decent player and would be a good addition to our squad. Honestly!
-
Why are folk surprised that other clubs' fans slag us off? Do you expect them to like or love us?
-
Right. Board invasion? :horse:
-
I want to join up and ask 'so who is your messiah now?' Haha! Do it!

So...Chris Samba then?

I prefer footballers to have two feet. Helps with their balance.

So bloody obvious! Alrighty, then! Nae more pissing aboot - I think I may just do that actually, Blef. The best two seats I've had as a non-ST holder have been in the SJH west corner way back under Roeder when Blackburn came and beat us (L4A I think), and then also was pretty good right up the back at the top of the NE corner last season when I had a seat at the top of the stairs so could stretch my legs. I suppose the other option could just be to turn up in a wheelchair. They seem to get good seats with a lot of legroom. Looks like I'm gonna do it then. I'd thought about sharing a ST with someone at first but screw it...if I can get one with legroom I may just do it. It'll be good to finally do what I should have done a decade ago.

http://www.clashmusic.com/files/imagecache/big_node_view/files/proclaimers.jpg If you could stomach front row or one of the rows where you're immediately facing onto a walkway, Gallowgate could still do the business. Can you actually request that though? I have no idea how to even go about this.
-
I've been havering over getting a ticket lately. My biggest issue is I'd want somewhere I can sit comfortably before I committed to a ST - long legs are not generally catered for in most parts of the ground. Nae chance in the Gallowgate really.

That bit that I've highlighted in bold is the bit that I found most interesting...perhaps that's the bit that folks need to really get debating. The rest is more of the same old, same old.
