Going to do a banner 8' x 3' and want some ideas. It's to take to Villa on Sunday and unfurl at full time when unfortunately I think we'll be relegated. The nations cameras will almost certainly be on us so a good chance to get OUR message across to those who created the mess we are in So, anyone got any decent wording I might use? Keep it clean, I know what the vast majority would like to say. But something short, sharp and to the point. (not 'cockney mafia out' but not fussed if it attacks Ashley/players etc.) Creative types. Shepherd as well for appointing him but lets not damp down the part the leeching bastards Hall family played in sackings, hirings and general running of the Club. (The Halls get barely a mention while Shepherd gets (rightly) slaughtered - Halls where always the major shareholders and Shepherd akin to their puppet). Souness murdered the Club on the playing side not so much by buying the absolute shite but by removing the best players in the squad. Robert and Bellamy have never been replaced. The Club has been going only one way since.

Just got back. Cracking day out in glorious sunshine! Bay where well worth there win and had the majority of the play. 12k in attendance and I'd guess Bay had 7k. Well impressed with Wembley.

Went down to The Seahorse last night to get 8 tickets and the fella said their train was full and that they had 10 coaches going down from the Club. Simon has 3 coaches going IIRC. He also said they had sold 6k+ tickets and the FA had sold some aswell. I reckon 10k.

I always take stories with 'Club Insiders' and 'A source' with a huge pinch of salt. But its shit like this that raises its head when the Club itself does its dirty washing in public.

Probably as low as its been in fuck knows how long. So, how do folk think Alan Shearer's public slaughter of Joey Barton will be recieved by the squad? Why didn't Shearer just say that he borrowed Wengers eyes and would view it later? I doubt a public slaughtering of a team mate would do morale any good at all and would only have a negative effect on the squad. Saying what he did has given the press another fucking field day in even more negative shite about to come the Clubs way. My worry with Shearer is that he would be more of a Souness than a SBR or Keegan/Dalglish. It should have been kept in house with no statement whatsoever.

Well, having used the power of youtube I think the tackle was nowhere near as bad as I first thought. He didn't go in two footed and he won the ball with his left foot before he took Alonso down with his right foot - which was bent as he went into the tackle. Definitely a hard challenge but fuck me there's been worse with less consequences. Shearer should appeal. Obviously can't post the vid.

Has anyone detected any sort of improvemnt at all under Shearer? From the moment he sneaked into the dugout v Chelsea it has been totally and utterley underwhelming I can't see a single thing that is better than it was before. Tactics are shite. Confidence is shite. Shots on target are shite. Owen is shite. Shearer slates his own player in public, which is shite. The players will not like that one bit which means they play even more shite. In fact , you could say its all still SHITE.

Doesn't he have a suspended ban hanging over him? I've defended him up to now on the basis that he is likely the best we have at this moment in time. I think he's shot his bolt now though he's became indefencable.

But relegating your 'biggest rivals' should far outweigh the negative.
