We'll get nothing for him. He'll sign a pre contract on Jan 1 and that'll be it sorted. He's certainly not going anywhere this window with the long term injury.

If bigger contracts where given out to lesser players (certainly in Taylors view) like Smith, Colo, Xisco who all arrived during Ashleys regime then Taylor I believe has every reason to ask for similar. I admit the money being sought and already paid out to players (lets not forget Butt getting a contract renewal - Geremi) is grossly inflated to the point where renumeration has no correlation to actual ability or performance levels. Taylor has to fancy at his age he's better prospect than all those on more than he's being offered.

Who, or where, does it say Taylor is demanding £60k pw? Seems that in situations like this numbers are just pulled out of the air and taken as fact.

A more clear penalty yoi wont see this season. I thought th ref was ok in general. A bit card happy towards a black and white shirt and let villaa off a few times with fouls just as bad as anything a Toon player dished out.
