Just posted in the "Henry" thread but probably more relevant here. Totally agree and I quite like watching hard robust players. David Batty for example was a great player - hard but always fair. Henry and Cattermole however are being systematically requested by their managers to go out and target and hurt specific opposition players. There is no place in football for that kind of club policy. I haven't seen that much of Cattermole, but over the years - whoever he has played for - I have not seen one game where he should have stayed on the pitch if the referee was applying the laws of today's game correctly. Now that quite literally seems to be the case. Sunderland should do themselves a favour and sack him, he can then work as a bouncer on Stockton High Street or Linthorpe Road which is what he is probably cut out for He could if he wasn't barred from the pubs via the pub watch scheme.

So, just when will folks alarm bells begin to ring?

The number of Premier League games won by Newcastle United. Perhaps that is the real reality check and not the Blackpool defeat.

Everton v Newcastle United - Sat 18th September (3pm)
Crumpy Gunt replied to Skeletor's topic in Football
Will NOT be dropped. He's as close as you'll get to player/manager. -
Glass houses regarding Barton really. Cattermole is a billion times worse than barton tbh. Catts in the main sticks to causing his aggro on the football pitch. Barton is ya run of the mill scumbag from Huyton. You mean the same Cattermole who is banned from every bar in his home Town via the pub watch scheme?

The Everton scout who was at yesterdays game will inform Moyes that a massive weaklink is our right back and opportunities aplenty will come to any team that chooses to deliberately exploit his weakness.

A winger that can't cross a ball is as much use as the Popes dick.

It seems the refs are catching up with Cuntermole.

Mancini must be under huge pressure now. City look awful in front of goal. Lost to SAFC last week and a draw againt the England manager in waitings Blackburn. 5points gone down the shitter.
-
Broke an opponents leg today. Anyone surprised?
-
For now I doubt bringing Cambell in the middle and Williamson RB would be any worse. I'd make it Taylors position if/when he plays again. We simply can't start him next week,
-
I genuinely wouldn't care a jack shit if he never got near the starting 11 again. Looked just like he did in our relegation season - I doubt a single cross connected with a Black and White colleague today. I counted five crosses in the second half he just did fuck all with. Ben Arfas first cross hit the target. And to save me the hassle of starting another thread Perch is hopeflessly out of his depth and causes the entire back line to be pulled left, right and centre. It's an absolute cert Everton will torture him next week.

I'm afraid when Hughtons number is up our league position will be beyond repair. That was complete and utter shit on too many levels.

There's a live link to the game somewhere. In fact if you're a skunker it'll be easy to locate

I wonder if this was one of the stories blocked (now unblocked obviously) by the courts we've heard about over the last 2/3 weeks. Still one or two more unsavoury headlines to come I reckon. When the Papers get blocked I'm amazed they don't just give the story to a foriegn newspaper to print. It becomes public knowledge eventually. Although I'm sure they know that it will eventually come out. Peter Crouch stories stopped abrubtly so I think he might be the owner of a prohibition order.

I sincerely hope Dawson is out for the season. I'd love to see owld twitchy faced bastards face just when his cruciate went snap. Not good for Dawson admittedly, but great if you hate Spuds

One of three or four games I've missed (at home) in nearly three decades. Family wedding in Eire to attend.

1, Bellamys winner at Feyenoord. Rounded off a cracking few days away. 2, Barcelona home. 3-0 up won 3-2. The Hat-trick, the knocking knees (literally) 3, Man U 5-0. For more than just the result. Lad I go to games with his Dad had just passed away and I sat for ages persuading him to go when he just didn't want to. It was like divine intervention. His face post match was a wonder of the modern world.

While on the subject of SKY. The online streaming version. Could I - using my old mans details (he has the full movie/sport package) - set this up to run on my own laptop at a different address to my old man? I think I may need to input his details (address/credit card etc). Could do with getting SSN back. It's no fun I've got to spend time chatting to wor lass where SSN used to be!

Three games in, 4 points and still not a goal from open play. City were fucking awful today for everything thats been spent there. But, if they don't put the ball in the net (how the fuck did scar face miss the open goal?) these things will happen. It was a deffo pen.

Newcastle United v Blackpool - Sat 11th September (3pm)
Crumpy Gunt replied to Ishmael's topic in Football
Jonas, Routledge and Ben Arfa will be 2 from 3. -
Not being one to jump the gun I've steered away from the hysteria of the 'will he/wont he' shit. But, just sat and did a bit of Youtube'ing. Two things do most definitely stand out. 1, He has some excellent close up skills. 2, It very rarely led to anything of quality. Ok, it might well be the editing which then leads me to ask if any of you statty twats have worked out his goals per game ratio, assists etc?

Wolves 1 - 1 Newcastle United - 28/08/10 - post match reaction from page 22
Crumpy Gunt replied to Dave's topic in Football
Atwell was totally out of his depth. Wolves almost certainly targetted Barton - 4 yellow cards for fouls/assaults on Barton at least. This is a game we could have won on another day. Happy with the point though. -
I wonder what shirt number he'll get?

5pm today is the deadline to be eligable for Wolves game. Always thought it had to be registered at FA by close of business.
