https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/655580/Newcastle-takeover-Exclusive-Amanda-Staveley-Rafa-Benitez-transfer-budget-Luke-Shaw Fucking load of owld shite. Haven't agreed a valuation of the club, heads of terms nor completed due diligence but we've sorted out Rafa's spend for the month and identified 3 players. Honestly, the shite some people pay to read, is beyond me.

So why would PCP or any other buyer want to buy a football club then? Depends. Perhaps they are happy to 'park' the money in light of the upcoming TV deal cash and watch their asset intrinsically grow. Perhaps they're a brand wanting exposure. Perhaps they genuinely believe that the can invest and then flog up at a profit or perhaps it fits within their wider business empire. Could be anything. I'd not be keen to have the name of the ground changed but, if we were owned with genuine intent, I could cope with it.

Still doesn't explain why he signed 3 number 10's to play behind him. 3 slow ones at that.
-
Exactly right. Only the parties involved in the discussion get the NDA. No chance Lee Ryders got one . He'd still be sat with Charnley, staring blankly out of the window, trying to work out the date.

Pretty sure that Mkhitarian's loss of form is because I put him in my FL team. .
-
Man Utd have really gone off the boil, performance-wise, since Pogba has been out. It's really affected the form of Mkhitarian too.
-
Correct but Rafa has a habit of setting us up well in more traditionally difficult games.

The difference between this NUFC and previous incarnations is how organised we look at the back and also from set pieces at both ends of the pitch. We don't look like we'll get those confidence-shattering mullerings that Huddersfield might. Personally hope Brighton, Palace and West Ham go down.

Unless it's an online data room. Which it will be.

£350m and it's done imo. He won't get his £380m asking price, but it'll not be far off. He wants away like, he's not messing this time. If he genuinely wants away there's no way he'll let PCP walk away. Even if they won't budge from £300m he's going to more than get his money back, and that's without accounting for the free advertising for Sports Direct for 10 years, Disagree, I think he'd keep it. We're not talking small sums of money here, £50-80m of cash. Agreed. He'll be a cunt of the highest order to do a deal with. As for needing the money for his next venture, when you've got access to billions, drumming up some funding to the tune of £400m shouldn't be very difficult at all so any other deals will unlikely to be depedant on this one. Sadly. His only motivation now will be to get the best deal and he won't give one fuck what the next owner does to/for us. No different to Sir John Hall. He didn't give a fuck either once he'd smelled the money.

I don't mind him especially given the context of his arrival. Think Rafa will improve him as the season goes on too.
-
That has crossed my mind. Maybe the public announcement and subsequent 'new parties this week' statements are actually after the initial PCP discussions and with a view to driving up the PCP price. Ashley has played this game so many times he'll be a fucking nightmare to deal with tbqh.

There's not an extra one during January afaik.
-
Aye - one before the Jan window and one after from memory.

They've got no legal basis to discuss the tax matters of an unrelated (at this point) business. NUFC would have to get the agreement with HMRC or agree to indemnify a potential buyer against future liabilities. I suspect NUFC Lawyers are working on some 'worst case' numbers and presenting them to Ashley. If it's £5m as per previous reports, then that's a small price to pay when you've made over £150m profit on a business in ten years. Essentially, just 4 months worth of profit .
-
There are so many ways around it but, ultimately, you've got a sporting institution trying to regulate or control high commerce. Never going to work. Big business has more muscle, more haste, more invention and more drive to succeed than a slow regulator so it's completely one-sided.

Dyer: “A new investor will see the club as a business. They’re not bothered about winning something, they just want to keep churning the money. Arsenal have shown that – they’re happy to come top four – job done. “Knowing the Newcastle fans, would they settle for just that? I think Newcastle staying in the Premier League will just make money with the TV deal.” Shreeves: “I’ve spoken to quite a few Newcastle fans. I was on the train with quite a lot after the Brighton game and they said they’re fed up with this reputation that they believe they have a right to win a trophy or belong alongside Manchester United. That’s a myth. They just want to support their team and see them do well. They do not believe they have any divine right.” Dyer: “I disagree. I disagree. Being there I think they expect to be up there. I’m not saying winning the league but I think the fans think they’re a Champions League team. I honestly believe that. “They were spoiled with Kevin Keegan.” 'Spoiled'? Fucking 'spoiled'? The absolute gaul of that cunt. We won fuck all. We've not won fuck all for donkeys years and a few good years and we were spoiled. Wish a snake had bitten him on the cock in that fucking jungle. Little rat.

Well we can build up our standing (not be run like a grubby corner shop for a start) which in turn can increase commercial revenues significantly. Also money spent on stuff like stadiums or training facilities isn't included in FFP so we could improve things heavily there which will again improve revenues. God, what a nice problem to have. FFP. Fuck me.
-
So what you're saying is, the deal should be completed tonight?

Maktoum I wish. Out of all the Arab royalty, he and Kabous (Oman) are the only ones I would be happy to have own NUFC. I took some clients in a corporate box at Newmarket a couple of years ago and he was in the box next door. My company name was on the door of the box and they'd researched us from Dubai, Russia and all over before they had arrived. We had no idea who would be next door, we arrived before them, and I left the box for a piss and bounced straight off his bodyguards outside. Fucking man mountains. He then comes out on to the adjacent balcony and he's tiny. Bloke was wearing platform shoes to appear taller like some midget middle-eastern Gary Glitter inpersonator .

People getting waaaay ahead of themselves on here and social media btw. Due diligence can take months and, when they look under the bonnet, can just as easily break deals. Heads of Terms is where it's at. Not worth getting our hopes up until HoT is mentioned. The way some of the social media reaction has gone, you'd think we were announcing it. To use a house-selling analogy, she's just booked the appointment to have a look around. She might want four bedrooms instead of three or she might love the place but it's still a long way off imho. I wouldn't be at all surprised if someone else buys it unexpectedly.

She's merely a fly on his windscreen in financial terms. He's a self-made multi-billionaire. She's taken Daddy's money and done pretty well with it. Fair play to her but knowing rich people is not something Ashley's ever needed. In terms of personal success, there are not many to equal him. Just a shame he's such a cunt.
