Doubt it mate - Brighton beach is full of pebbles.

Bessti and Jonas. Ta.

Who did the subs come on for?
-
Yep - my concern all along. I wouldn't be surprised if they gave us Bentley on loan in return for first option on AC. That will certainly be in their thinking imho.
-
I think he has on a couple of occasions. Granted, they were before the window but he's not exactly going to do it every time a club are linked. Also, it wouldn't really matter whether he wanted to stay or go tbh.
-
He needs to have complete freedom and no defensive responsibility so I'd play 4-5-1 with HBA being the extra midfielder playing right behind AC.

Addison is a perma crock sadly, comes up here a fair bit for a drink but doubt he would actually pass a medical from what a mutual friend says. Shame - he looked very classy when we played them. Hope he can shake off his injury problems as he looked like he could play at a higher level.

Have a look for a horse with ridiculously low odds and no close 2nd fave and lump on.

Are you Stu? Are you Stu? Are you stuey in disguise?

I've seen him a few times for WHU and watched the odd Mackem match on TV and thought he'd be a half decent bench warmer to give us cover for God. 'Realistic/Cheap' until Ferguson develops was my thinking. If you've seen more of him than me then fair do's...............was just a thought for cheap and cheerful.

Who was the young centre half who played well against us for Derby (a) last season? Addison was it? I seem to recall he was coming back from a serious injury but had previously been quite highly thought of within the game. Anyone know how he's progressing? Also, if we're talking cheap squad fillers, what about George McCartney - lb at Leeds - previously played for the Mackems and WHU? He'd do a job and, other than one nightmare game for sunderland, I've always thought he looked fairly capable. <£1m for him I should think.

This. Let's not doubt for one minute he'll not spit his dummy out at some stage but let's enjoy the signing while we can. We've not made many of this calibre for a while.
-
It never harms to pad out the squad but I'd have young players with something to prove over has-been journeymen every time. Great acquisition - just hope he lives up to expectations. Don't disagree with that. Bentley has a chance of being a success - point to prove etc etc, Keane is exactly what we've gotten away from since FFS left and very much in the journeyman mould. I'd be happy with a couple of squad fillers now we've signed HBA.

Like night follows day, bad follows good in the Ashley decision making tree. Wouldn't be surprised in the slightest.
-
Most important signing of the window. Don't care what happens with Bentley, Keane et al now.
-
Yep - the yappy bastard is going to talk himself into some bother. Fucking Cockney Tossrag.

The 5.5 year contracts indicate to me that he'll be looking to sell the couple actively within two years. He'll market it as a 'stable, mid table premiership club, with finances in good order, big fan base and sustainable squad with long contracts on low-ish wages giving potential buyers time to decide how to take the business forward without having to invest heavily in the playing side initially'. I reckon a big part of why it didn't sell last time around was the fear from buyers over the quality/sustainability of the playing squad. I think that's why he's dishing out 5.5 year contracts and that he's got a plan to bail out soon.

Exactly what makes him such a good player you fucking mong. Stick to League one.

You'd say yes to what? Keane & Bentley for Carroll? A has been and possibly could be?
