Agreed, on the face of it seems a lot, however we can be clever about it. KWP on a free would be left and right back cover for example. I still think we try sign a RW who can cover upfront as well (Mbuemo type).
-
I’m basing it on no champions league, I can’t envisage us finishing top 5 this season.
-
You say they don’t have time to bed in here, then reference Hall, who took a year to bed in.
-
We have a manager whose best quality is developing young talent (Hall, Gordon etc). We have a sporting director whose biggest skill is unearthing young talent. I genuinely don’t see a reason why can’t progress and challenge even if the budget is 80 million.
-
So with our current squad now, most on here say we need a CB and RW? If we added that Huijsen for the 12 million he was available for last summer (a lot on here wanted him) that would give us 68 million left to get a RW and maybe keeper. You genuinely don’t believe that’s doable?
-
Go have a look at some of the players Bournemouth, Brighton etc have managed to bring in the last season or two. It’s more than doable for us to sign a 2/3 quality players for 80 million.
-
80 million spent wisely is a decent amount tbf.

When does the bit that cheers everyone up get posted ?
-
He will be pissed off, we will everyone, but it has a completely different feel to that after the summer window. At least for me it does.
-
Fwiw, people’s main issue/questions over him are his ability coming for crosses. It’s a weakness in his game, Burnley fans themselves say the same.
-
There is no way anyone at the club should be making decisions based on Wilson being fit.
-
They have no choice.

30 million for Miggy and Kelly is brilliant business.
-
Knowing our luck, we need it to avoid a points deduction.
-
20 million is a great deal.
-
Either we are planning a big summer, or we need to sell to avoid a points deduction and a mad June rush again.
-
Leave it up to Trippier, he’s done enough for us to warrant making the decision. I’d personally let him go.
-
After Mitchells interview and the reaction after it after the last window, I’d rather they didn’t say anything tbh.
-
That is literally the point in it.
-
This is going to pens.

Aye, Howe has performed miracles and the 9 game winning run silenced a bit of the doubts. But it’s another window without strengthening, still no new commercial deals. All this whilst we are fighting on three fronts.
-
Next week I think, conveniently after the window closes.

Love the optimism.
