Depends who the 2nd/3rd choice is now ? If it’s Gordon I’d rather wait till the summer to go for our number one target.

Does that count for managers then ? We were ridiculed for our opinions on Bruce and we all knew despite that we were right. I’m not saying fan opinion is the key thing and we should take it as gospel, but fans who watch him week in week out certainly have an informed opinion.

Just had a look on the Everton forum, their opinions aren’t exactly a selling point, a lot of them question his fitness which would be a huge issue playing in our side.

We got them 2 for around 20 million combined, we seem to be talking minimum 30 million for Gordon alone.

Barnes ? He would be a much better signing for us.

Main issue is I don’t see how anyone could have watched us struggle to create/score goals in recent weeks and think Anthony Gordon is the answer. The club have pretty much got every single decision right since the takeover, but I can’t really understand this decision. I could understand bringing him in as a squad option if we already had real quality out wide but relying on him to be a main source of creating/scoring goals is a huge risk. Still I will get behind the lad if he signs.

Bielsa would make or break Gordon, be ideal for us to wait 6 months and see how he performs under him (if he gets the job).

Would say it’s highly unlikely Everton sell, and I think they paid 30 million for him so we are looking at a big figure. Would be a quality signing though.
