    aston villa

38 games and 114 points over a season and the Villains blame it all on a single decision. Cry babies cry
  2. The overspend can also viewed as a gamble to assemble a team (not squad), that's capable of punching above its weight. Nonetheless, with a Trophy and Champions Leage spot for next season, the "gamble" paid off. Whilst it wasn't as direct a gamble as Villa's Jan transfer push, it was a more calculated gamble, and it paid off !
  3. Eddie is no Brucey. If Mr Bacon had the flu, he would have taken half the season off
  4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iq9gmOenfIY My favourite video. The dramatic theme from Rocky adds so much

If Trafford signs and becomes a regular for England, 4 of the back 5 could be from Newcastle!
  6. Given his most successful years were spent under Fergie, wonder if Fergie did tactics or left it all to his coaches
  7. Kind of short to replace the giant van Dijk
  8. Not at all. If this González transfer doesn't work out, they'll simply sign another player. Such is their headroom
  9. Man U fan to the very end. Not the best time to pass on though https://www.tiktok.com/@vasagee.narayanas/video/7449676973200231700?_r=1&_t=ZS-8tIpigDzDRi
  10. Google "A British Royal Marine holding the severed heads of a young man and woman who were accused of supporting the Communist Party of Malaya in 1952".
  11. It's meant to be a working meeting, and Big Yasir is not up to date on the details. Besides, he is the Chairman, and he has a whole executive team to manage NUFC. As it stands, PIF ownership is already causing all kinds of panic amongst the clubs. Attending the meeting, even symbolically, will only attract more criticisms that the Saudis are not the hand-owners that they claim
  12. Many may accuse the Saudis of sportswashing. But the Americans are literally washing away the Premier League with their own brand of detergent and it stinks !
  13. For the sake of his health and his family, he should step down as soon as possible. It will take months to appoint his replacement, and he needs to prioritize his health. I had a colleague, who had cancer; he felt so responsible to the company that he returned to work immediately after his first round of chemotherapy. Sadly, the pressure must have gotten to him, and he had a relapse not long after and didn't make it.
  14. Could Howe and Mitchell be staging this whilst giving reporters the drug they are craving for? Whilst bigger stuff is brewing in the background or taking the heat off the of delays of the "imminent" stadium & training ground plans?
  15. I think much of the blame must go to Parish. He was eager to play this out publicly and even granted interviews. He did what he did for his club but it sure didn't help us

    St James' Park

65,000 for starters but leave enough land around the stadium perimeter to cater for future expansion. Or build the infrastructure in such a way that its expandable e.g extra tiers, if need arises. So that we'll never be hamstrung again like today
  17. At this rate, Glasner may just walk
  18. And the 3 would have sold all the deadwood for good money too

To be carded, you first need to be selected and to play in the major tournaments
  20. Peter Lim is in football as purely as a business. If anyone meets the asking price & player wants to go, he will have no qualms to sell
  21. That's a whole lot of Cs. We only had one big C then ....Charnley.
  22. Citeh are too busy with their own legal cases and won't have time for Berrada. Besides, what can they possibly get out of suing Berrada. A couple of million quid won't mean a thing to them.
  23. We're already out of the FA Cup. The only opportunity left to get into Europe is for the best team to do us a favour.
