I thought it was one of his more mature and effective performances, certainly releasing the ball better than previous games. Desperately want to see him and Targett as that would give the opposition that extra headache which Burn just doesn’t give.

Pretty sure I would have slapped anyone pre-season that said we would be top 5 at this stage of the season and Almiron would have been our top scorer

Would hate for him to end his Newcastle career on a low, but in current form and fitness he desperately needs replacing in the summer. Has Howe said anything about his obvious drop off since the WC, e.g long Covid or some other fitness issue?
